Jevtana?

My oncologist, Dr Menter of Kaiser Lone Tree Colorado called tonight, late on a Friday to give me 4 options. 1: Stay on Zytiga and watch; 2: switch back to Xtandi and look for improvement; 3: Do 2 rounds of taxotere. 4: start Jevtana; 5: look for clinical trials at CU Heath Center.

A wonderful oncologist in SC almost got him into that trial, but then he was rejected due to the one shot of Jevtana/Cabazitaxel he had!! Our MO said Darolutamide is almost the exact same as Proxalutamide, so we felt it was worth trying.

Diagnosed in Feb 2017, He's had standard of care HDT, Chemo (Docetaxel), Radiation to lower spine followed by 1 treatment of Jevtana + Carboplatin (dropped blood numbers way too low to confinue this chemo - likely because started day after 10 radiation treatments to lower spine ), so instead, Lynparza

A week after his first infusion of Jevtana. After reading all of your responses ( thank you all so much ), I asked the Oncologist about adding Carboplatin to his Jevtana. He went back and looked at a genetic study done on him at the onset of diagnosis and said that my husband has a ATM mutation.

His oncologist said that the Taxotere was not working and the only thing left he could offer was Jevtana. His Last PSA was nearly 1800. Last Friday he started the new chemo. They have put him on 10 mg of steroid daily in addition to the chemo. Since Friday his life has been miserable.

Tried Jevtana including one cycle with Carboplatin. While my PSA is dropping, my lymph nodes are continuing to increase in size and now I also have a bone met on one of my ribs.

Already failed Lupron, Zytiga, and Jevtana. Did not tolerate xtandi. Is there any hope left with keytruda? Any alternatives or is this the end?

In January he started taxotere for a few rounds, then Jevtana and finally cyclophosphamide. He rapidly started to decline on cyclophosphamide. He was accepted into receiving Keytruda but was too weak.

Tried Jevtana recently and did not help at all and cancer worsened so it was stopped after 2 cycles. Started keytruda a couple weeks ago since prostate biopsy showed MSI-H. Recently got a liver biopsy that showed prostate adenocarcinoma. He is now jaundiced with bilirubin at 10 and trending up.

My husband's PSA has bounced around while on jevtana - 8 cycles now - but just spike 50% over a 2 week period. Have a call out to his onco but would love feedback here. Thank you!

We were just told that despite two treatments of jevtana the liver metastasis has enlarged. My dad got an ultrasound today which was compared to an Axumin scan at the end of July, and the liver spots are much larger some three times as much.

He has received two treatments of Jevtana first on 8/5 and 8/26. His liver test before Jevtana were ALT 190 AST 130 ALP 513 and bilirubin 0.8. PSA was 79. On 8/22 his liver tests were ALT 95 AST 65 ALP 475 and bilirubin 1.2 (abnormal). PSA was 85.

My dad is now going through combo chemo (jevtana and carboplatin). Has anyone else experienced this and if so was it positive? Dad is having a lot of pain and just weak with it. We expected the weakness but not so much the pain.

I have a friend who is an oncologist and she said Jevtana would be her next line of defense. Here is my question (FINALLY, right?) For those of you that perhaps had a similar protocol, what were your options after Xtandi?

They have included syberknife, xytegia, xtandi,taxotere,xofigo,and now cabazitnxel(jevtana) with carboplatin. I don’t know if there is anything else that can be done. Is there any one else out there in the same situation and if so what are you doing?

The oncologist is going to use jevtana because of it. My dad doesn’t have any liver issues before the cancer spread to the liver. The liver tests are ALT 190 AST 140 bilirubin is normal.
