Can taxotere be used with high liver tests due to spread of cancer to the liver? The oncologist is going to use jevtana because of it. My dad doesn’t have any liver issues before the cancer spread to the liver. The liver tests are ALT 190 AST 140 bilirubin is normal.

Taxotere and elevated liver tests
Taxotere is associated with elevation of liver enzymes:

It seems Jevtana rarely causes elevation of liver enzymes.
Why don't you want him to have Jevtana? Cost? Jevtana+Carboplatin followed by a PARP inhibitor is the subject of a trial at MD Anderson for men with APC that has particularly aggressive features. If he qualifies, he will get those drugs for free:

No it’s not about cost. Just concerned since it’s second line to taxotere. I was wondering if it’s as effective as taxotere. My dad hasn’t received any chemo yet and this is the first time.
I read the link you provided. For these studies do they allow you to get the chemo at a different hospital? And then use the trial med if he is the right group after. Since we are on the west coast it would be tough to fly every few weeks for chemo.
