Chlorella
Chlorella also may contain
iodine
which is also not recommended. I'm considering what to do and really reaching out here to the forum to see if anyone has any experience with any of the above (haemorrhoids/chlorella or kinesiology as a method).

Help/advice urgently needed please...dosage increase or not
Consequently, a very high
iodine
content remains in the body for up to 6months or beyond and can push thyroid numbers up or down via conversion process so I had to be cautious with levo increase.

Dr Alan Christianson - Iodine Controlled Diet
He seems to be a very big supporter of an
iodine
controlled diet, and thyroid disease can be controlled by regulating
iodine
intake as appose to thyroid meds. What peoples thoughts on this? Does anyone think this is possible?

Iodine
I know there are discussions about the possibility of worsening Hashimotos but would there be a problem having a very low dose of it whilst on T3 and T4 meds if careful?

TSH levels lowered after iodine spike - advice on next steps needed
Hi everyone, I hope that you are all well. I have an update on my journey and just wanted some advice as I am still very new to this. My journey started a few months ago. I've tried to condense everything below. Just to state I have had various blood tests and they are all optimal (cholestral, Vitamin

High TSH (which keeps rising over the years) and consistently high T4 for 7 years with no major symptoms.
I did also check my
iodine
levels and it was very low. I started taking sea kelp about a year ago and raised my
iodine
level a good amount, but the TSH has still risen after my blood test last week. Do you know what could be going on here?

Within range bloods - can someone confirm please?
Hi all, After being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation five years ago and an ambiguous NHS blood test showing possible hypothyroid symptoms I decided, as my diet is mostly plant based, to take a vegan multivitamin/mineral including
iodine

Iodine Uptake?
I need to use
iodine
solution, but am not sure what "absorption of
iodine
from this solution may lower the
iodine
uptake of the thyroid" means in terms of my hypothyroidism. Does the reduction of uptake mean that I will be more hypo, or less?

🤷🏻♀️ Sudden jump up in T4
Morning all 😉 I have Hashimoto’s and have had radio active
iodine
treatment over 16 years ago so have been on Levothyroxine since. I’m familiar with all the testing and get regularly tested by my GP. I also private test occasionally to check my T3 as my local area do not test that on the NHS.

Had anyone tried LDN?
I'm HypoThyroid and not receiving any treatment for that due to the fact I supplemented with
iodine
. Hence, the GP wants to wait six months to see if it resolves itself, even though I've been subclinical for a couple of years.

I’m concerned about the
iodine
in it but other components such as magnesium may be helping. She has a blood test soon and I’ve suggested she tries to get folate, ferritin, B12 and D measured. Any other thoughts?

Someone has told me this would probably contain
Iodine
, which would not work with thyroid meds. Could someone please clarify. Thankyou.

Iodine avidity in papillary and poorly differentiated thyroid cancer is predicted by immunohistochemical and molecular work-up
In order for radio-
iodine
treatment to work, the radioactive
iodine
has to be taken into the target tissue. "Avidity" is how strong the uptake of
iodine
into the tissue is. The higher the avidity, the better at absorbing
iodine
, and the more likely the treatment is to be successful.

Problems with Teva?
I have graves disease which was treated with radioactive
iodine
in 2013. Since then I have been taking Accord Levothyroxine with no problems. Two months ago the pharmacy gave me Teva I didn't think anything of it. Since then I have gradually become very ill.
