Interferon therapy in the management of myeloproliferative neoplasms
Time on treatment analysis demonstrated that every year on
interferon
reduced the risk of progression to myelofibrosis (MF) by 9% (HR 0.91 [95% CI, 0.87–0.95]; p < 0.001), and was associated with a mortality risk reduction by 6% per year (HR 0.94 [95% CI, 0.90–0.99]; p < 0.012).

Weekly Pegasys and COVID vaccine
Hi folks Quick question; has anyone had vaccine on weekly
interferon
injections? If so does it present issues? Apparently people are being asked if they’ve had any injections in the last seven days. Thanks Pete

Unnumbered post YOU and I are supposed to get worse 19 Feb 2021
I have switched 3 times, because I dislike intensely needles, and because
Interferon
Beta 1 B is different from 1A and 1A does not like me. I take Tecfidera now and write this standing at my desk. As best as I can tell, I still have Relapsing-remitting ms(RRMS).

Just a question that I hope you might be able to help me with I have ET and on
interferon
I have been advised recently that my platelets are dropping below where they should be and have since had my peg dropped to fortnightly to see if this helps bring them back to normal.

Getting a COVID-19 Vaccine with Autoimmune or Inflammatory Rheumatic Disease: New Guidance from the American College of Rheumatology
“
Interferon
is kind of like the captain of the immune system army signaling all the troops and telling them when and where to deploy. When you reduce
interferon
, you can throw your immune system’s response into chaos,” says Dr. Curtis.

Hi Mazcd Could you please put everyone’s minds at rest and clarify via consultants, if vaccines live or not , can be administered if you are on peg
interferon
or other medications for MPNs. This would very much be appreciated. Many thanks💐
