Change to Interferon - feeling awful
Hi friends I am on my third week of
interferon
and I am feeling awful. I still have the big red blotches on my stomach but I also feel very swimmy and dizzy all the time to the point I feel I am going to fall.

Breathlessness
Struggling with breathlessness, I was hoping
interferon
would help this, but doesn't seem to be. I have ET and has no says it's not a symptom.

ET - Pregnancy
I was eventually put on
interferon
but only by chance as the MPN specialist was covering the obstetric clinic. The obgyn were horrified at my Doppler scans and never seen anything like it. Pregnancy went more smoothly from that point, although the
interferon
made me feel awful.

Clinical Trial PV
Treating on Peg
Interferon
for 3 years with numbers well under control, however rotten IBS side effects from the Peg. My dosage is 45 mcg weekly, never increased it as that seemed to work for me.

Change to Interferon
If I am found to have Lupus then I will be nervous of carrying on with
Interferon
as it has been found that using it on Lupus sufferers can cause heart damage. Still a waiting game at the moment. Thanks my lovelies xx

Side effects of PEG
In discussing the pros/cons of moving from Hydroxy Urea to PEG
Interferon
, my MPN specialist citied one side effect of PEG as the possibility of activating latent autoimmune diseases that could be “brewing” in one’s system such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Two Questions. Interferon and JAK %
The consultants are unaware of any possible link to
interferon
and have referred me back to my GP, the GP has ordered a chest X ray, clear, changed my BP pills, so he has very little else to go on...

Booster shots?
Does ET treated with the max
interferon
dose count, do you think? I am thinking that it is better to err on the side of caution and get one. I would love to hear of any recommendations you have had.

MPN Awareness Day, September 9, 2021 - A special story
I was blessed to know her and I believe she prolonged my life by using
Interferon
early in the course of the illness. (I will be 87 next month) She also stressed patient to patient interaction, being proactive in dealing with the illness, and learning, learning learning.

Any IL-6 inhibitor or IL6 receptor inhibitor situation and Liver total protein issue
Even if they take Ruxolitinib, and take
interferon
at the same time. The total protein in the biochemistry of the liver continues to decline slowly. This decline is continuous and may be the trend of slow decline for several years. How do other countries solve this problem?

Taking interferon in hot weather
Previous post about heat and PV was very reassuring but I just wondered if I've made symptoms worse with
interferon
or if I should continue to test for covid!... Any experience of taking
interferon
in heat?

French research on the most grave Covid
In these, they explained that 10 to 15% of severe forms of Covid-19 were due to "a deficiency in the type 1
interferon
(IFN 1) pathway".

INF, allele and more
<<Concomitant TET2 or DNMT3A mutations are associated with molecular resistance to
interferon
>> So if you have these, INF may be less effective, although Hunter is doing well on PEG with TET. This study also has many details on non-driver mutations.

Recently diagnosed with PV
Later I started to take
interferon
for about 2 months and then after approval by health insurance company it was switched to peginterferon. My hematologist didn't have any experience with peginterferon so far and she prescribed me full dose 180mg per week at the start.
