Breathing difficulties but PF normal
Hi everyone, as I've posted before my asthma was only diagnosed a year ago and bronchiectasis just before so I'm still learning how to live with and manage both conditions but can you help me. Although my PF was normal at the beginning of this week I had a terrible tight chest with breathing difficulties

Fostair headaches
I’ve recently changed from Clenil 200 x 2 twice a day to Fostair 100 x 2 twice a day due to problems managing my asthma (found mould in our bedroom wardrobe). I’ve been taking it for 4 days now & asthma is hugely improved. However, keep getting headaches. Will the headaches lessen as I get used to the

It’s Thursday - so the day of my 30 minute/4K run. I am enjoying my plan! I’m not really enjoying the darker mornings as there is more traffic about, especially towards the end of my run. The air quality wasn’t so good this morning, so I used my inhaler about 15 minutes before I left the house. I decided

Hello all. I was diagnosed with asthma 25 years ago aged 40. It doesn't give me too much trouble (though I have other major health issues)! For the last few months I have been wheezy and coughing a lot, something that I get maybe once a year for six to eight weeks. Usually I just tolerate it until it

Is there a difference between Asthavent and Venteze?
I have exercise induced asthma/bronchospasm. I also have a heart condition - so because of the heart I was using Ipvent (Ipratropium Bromide) until something caused it not to be available in South Africa any more. So since then I used Venteze for a while and when that inhaler ran out I got Asthavent

Study says inhalers OK to use amid COVID-19 concerns.
THE benefits of using
inhalers
and nebulisers containing steroids outweigh the risks despite warnings to the contrary during the COVID-19 pandemic, a study by University of Huddersfield researchers has found. https://www.hud.ac.uk/news/2020/july/

Asthmatic cough in Covid times
Hi everyone! I can feel the start of my usual Autumn/Winter asthma flare up. I’m using preventer but still staring to get bouts of coughing. A couple of puffs of blue inhaler and increased fluids helps a lot. So not an issue of feeling safe and controlling it. My worry is that in Covid times, a persistent

Asthma, sinusitis and masks
Montelukast was ineffective for my asthma and Ive tried several other steroid
inhalers
over the years. Fexofenadine didnt work for my allergies. Nasal sprays work for a short while and then stop working. I currently have fluticasone for the polyp as it returned but it doesnt help my allergies.

Has anyone been changed from Seebri to Ultibro - as has been suggested to me - would appreciate it if you could tell me if it was better. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Ongoing asthma issues - recovery period
Hi all, Around 15 weeks ago I had several severe asthma attacks. I've been recovering since then and have made good progress in terms of being comfortable in the house, but my mobility remains limited. I can move around the house okay, but I'm still effectively housebound - if I walk for any real distance

Having trouble controlling my asthma - doubled up Clenil 200 wasn’t making a huge difference. Just been prescribed Relvar for a month & wanted to know how others have found this combi inhaler. Any advice? Thanks.

and wonder if this is the case

Week 1 run 2 done with recently diagnosed Asthma. ADVICE NEEDED
Hi everyone. After many false starts I have decided to try and lose some weight and get fitter. After lockdown I am now over 5 stone overweight. I confess the first run was a total shock and my legs were aching. Hamstrings were super tight and ankles sore. Dragged myself out yesterday for run 2 which
