Covid the cause of asthma
I've now been prescribed steroids blue and brown
inhalers
. I've also been asked to do regular peek flow testing until I see the Asthma nurse in a couple of weeks. How long before I can realistically start to feel better?

Brilliant doctor!
My daughter is 3 and recently the doctor gave us an inhaler with a spacer for her. The doctor was great at showing us how to use it and had my daughter and I singing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ while the mask was on. This helped to distract her and made her start breathing naturally, and in good time

Steroid tapering
I also started new
inhalers
on the 17th and think they might be starting to work Obviously I don’t want to take the steroids for longer than necessary and I don’t want to reduce too soon I also know this is far too much to be using my reliever.

Breathless and wheezy
Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice for my husband who is nearly 89 and was diagnosed with emphysomatic fibrosis about two years ago. He has not been too bad until 6 months ago when when he started getting more breathless and wheezy. The Salamol inhaler doesn’t help at all, the Bradosyl helps

Swapped to a lower inhaler
My asthma specialist has swapped me from relvar 184 down to 92. Ive had 2 to 3 years of constant infections which never shows in sputum samples. I always have a slightly raised infection count on my bloods. My feno is quite low so they said its not asthma its chronic infections. All xrays and cts are

How reliable is a spirometer in accessing asthma severity or a flare up?
How reliable is a spirometer in accessing asthma severity or a flare up? I was told my symptoms were out of preportion with my lung function and thusly was told it was all down to dysfunctional breathing. (Part 4!) After 5 months on Forsteo
Her very supportive GP has prescribed Epipens and Ventolin
inhalers
because very quickly, Margaret's history of adverse reactions to drugs started to repeat as she began to have breathing difficulties with the start of asthma symptoms and lung problems following her morning injections.

Montelukast
Can anyone on Montelukast tell me if it helps?. Finally managed to see my asthma nurse today & was prescribed it alongside Fostair. I’m confused if it’s a long term thing or a short term thing? I’m just really hoping it helps because I seem to be attached to my blue inhaler quiet a lot lately!

*What helps YOU cope with your Anxiety and Panic Attacks? As an individual. *
Only If you don't mind sharing... I am just curious what helps you all individually with your anxiety and or Panic Attacks? How do you cope? What do you do for yourself to help yourself feel better? Is there something you do for yourself on a daily basis to help cope? Do you take meds? Or Daily Vitamins

Inhaler technique
Has anyone found any benefit from showing children online videos for improving inhaler technique? Do they tend to remember the correct technique or forget after a while? Any other suggestions for improving how well they retain technique?

do inhalers cause pain in your sternum?
Im wondering if any of you have experienced a discomfort in your sternum when breathing deeply? Weird question I know. In September I had covid and thankfully only had very mild symptoms. Two weeks later I had a chest infection and ended up on antibiotics and steroids. Since then I have had to change

More inhaler questions
As I wrote last week, I started taking Spiriva again following problems with Trelegy Ellipta. Spiriva had been my first inhaler four years ago, followed by Anoro and eventually Trelegy. I’ve been really short of breath since re-starting Spiriva so I really feel I need to change. As I have no idea how
