Not very happy
The hospital suspended my
immunotherapy
treatment 9 weeks ago which I was having for stage 4 lung cancer. I also have ipf and at the moment my breathing is very poor indeed. Spoke to oncologist 2 weeks ago who told me I will have a scan in July and see her in August!

Opdivo and Yervoy combination approved for Non-small cell lung cancer
The approval of Opdivo (nivolumab) and Yervoy (ipilimumab) marks the first approval of combined
immunotherapy
treatment for NSCLC. This gives patients whose cancer does not have a targetable change a new avenue for treatment and more options than they have ever had.

SF3B1 Mutations
If and when these patients need treatment they should have a targeted therapy or look for a clinical trial of novel agents, rather than have chemo-
immunotherapy
such as FCR, BR or Chlorambucil. https://ashpublications.org/blood/article/121/23/4627/31480/SF3B1-mutations-in-chronic-lymphocytic-leukemia

Myasthenia Gravis with NSCL cancer
It started suddenly on his week off from chemo and
Immunotherapy
. He’s been so weak he’s been unable to have chemo in over four months. He’s on steroids and pyridostigmine 3x a day and the double vision is better but that’s the only change.

*New Treatment*
Even though it was beginning to not work anymore, I’m glad I got a chance to try
Immunotherapy
because now I don’t have to wonder what it would be like. I switched treatments about two weeks ago. So far, so good. A little indigestion but I take Pepcid for that now.

Mike is on hospice
Mikes last
immunotherapy
treatment was on 3/09. He progressed and had several falls and other complications which placed him in the hospital twice. His oncologist deemed that he was too weak to continue treatment.

Vaping
I'm doing well with
immunotherapy
and was able to cut down to 2 cigs per day replacing it with vaping until the pandemic hit. Needless to say, I fell off the wagon 😕. Has anyone had any luck with quitting and using vaping as a substitute? My oncologist doesn't have a problem with the vaping.

My Mum Part 2
We are still awaiting the rest of the results to see if she has any gene mutations, but the consultant said she will probably have either (or both) chemo/
immunotherapy
. How do they decide who can have
immunotherapy
? My mum is otherwise healthy with no other underlying health conditions.

Lu-177-PSMA-617 vs Jevtana (cabazitaxel): which should I do next?
Lu-177-PSMA-617 seems to beat Jevtana in a randomized clinical trial. In those countries where it is already available, it is the preferred third-line therapy based on reduction of PSA and toxicity. https://www.prostatecancer.news/2020/05/lu-177-psma-617-vs-jevtana-cabazitaxel.html Many open questions

Immunotherapy and Blood Counts
This week was supposed to be the start of cycle 4 of my chemotherapy for neuroendocrine prostate cancer, but it got pushed back a week due to low neutrophils in a time of Covid-19. Part of my cocktail includes Atezolizumab which is an immunotherpy agent. I found my blood counts for the last two cycles

Been a While
. - had four infusions of durvalumab as
immunotherapy
. - had a PET scan that showed that the original hyper-metabolic nodules and lymph nodes have responded well to the therapy, BUT new nodules have shown up along with a new adenopathy and large areas of ground glass opacities.
