Not sure if I should be worried?
Hi, I’m hoping for anyone’s thoughts on this matter. I am stage 4 ALK+ and have been on Ceritinib for 2 years now which is working well. I have CT scans every 3 months to keep an eye on things and have always been told that my lungs are clear from tumours. I spoke to my oncologist today who told me that

Ceritinib hard capsule discontinued
Hi everyone. I just wondered if there is anyone else out there who are now having to take Ceritinib as a film coated tablet? The capsule has been discontinued and initially I was very pleased as the tablet is much smaller than the capsule. If you’re on a targeted therapy you’ll know what I mean, the

NCSLC with brain mets drugs
., she said that there are few drugs penetrating to the cerebrospinal fluid and brain; capecitabin, temozolamid and for targeted agent
gefitinib
(iressa) and trastuzumab. Looks like some of these drugs are not for lung cancer or they are for patients with EGFR mutation positive and my dad is not.

High risk category? Letter received?
Hello everyone, I hope you are all keeping well and are coping with this situation we find ourselves in. I am on targeted therapy Ceritinib which as far as I was aware is one of the protein kinase inhibitors which is on the government’s high risk list. I have had no text or letter advising me to stay

Others like me
I tested positive for EGFR initially and was put on
Gefitinib
. This failed completely and on further testing, I was found to be negative. The conclusion is that I have it in "pockets" only.

“Disease Flare” in lung cancer
Tagrisso,
Gefitinib
and some others are ones that also carry the risk for “disease flare”, in which the disease flare can very quickly involve the meninges of the CNS and/or other worsening of cancer symptoms and tumor worsening very quickly.

Trying to be hopeful
I’m 45 years old and was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer 19 months ago. I had a lobectomy and 12 weeks of hellish chemo which I would never put myself through again. Everything seemed fine for awhile but sadly yesterday my consultant informed me that the cancer has now spread to my other lung also

Pemetrexed seems not to work
Ceritinib was amazingly successful but pneumonitis meant we had to stop for now. Carb and Pem with 3 cycles of Pem but new brain secondaries. CT body today and Gamma Knife again as mets are symptomatic. Lorlatinib possibly next if available: anyone with success with this or possibly Crizotinib/ Pem if
