Stage 2 lung cancer
Hi everyone. I had my right lower lung removed because I had a baseball size tumor that was stage 2 cancer this past March. It's been a long haul recuperating but I'm cancer free. I had my first CT Scan and it was negative - there were no lymph nodes involved or cancer outside that portion of the

Hello from Lisa g.
I am introducing myself. I am a 2x bc thriver. First time lumpectomy and radiation- 2nd time chemo and mastectomy. Second time was new primary (assumed due to almost 8 year span between diagnoses and different type of bc-- docs never can say with 100% surety that it is new primary or recurrence as cancer

Hello to all you brave ladies with breast cancer challenges. Just wanted to say that yesterday I had a right breast mastectomy along with the removal of a couple of lymph nodes. I was only in hospital for 18 hours and am home now controlling the user friendly drain. A nurse will come and visit tomorrow

Letrozole
Following a double mastectomy last year with no chemo or radiotherapy I was put on hormone treatment Letrozole. I have the usual side effects like joint pain and stiffness but find recently that I am very tired, does anyone have the tiredness problem or perhaps I am short of a vitamin or something?

Breast Sinus Infection #Mastectomy #Infection
My partner had a mastectomy and reconstruction around a year ago she had problems which required the implant to be removed after which she had a sinus infection, after numerous courses of antibiotics the surgeon removed it leaving a round hole around 25mm diameter and deep, which is dressed and packed

Week 8 Complete - but having an enforced break
I'm so proud of myself, having just completed week 8 run 3 and have managed to cover 6.4km with the run and the two walks. It is also only my second run outside (have done all my runs on a treadmill at the gym). However my dilemma is that on Wednesday I have to go into hospital to have some reconstruction

Mets to Omentum and Bones
Hi everyone, this is my first post. Yesterday I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer after a biopsy confirmed mets to the Omentum. They tell me it is also in my bones but I now have to go for a bone scan. My journey began in 2009 when I was diagnosed with ILC in the left breast. It had also infiltrated

I used Natural cancer therapies
I joined a support group in Feb 1993 (after a diagnosis of Invasive Lobular Breast cancer, age 44). The women there were wonderful, but horrified that I wouldn't be doing chemo due to Multiple Chemical Sesitivity. I stated then that "there must be alternatives". When I thought about what I said, I realized

Should I push for mastectomy?
Hi all, I'm new to this site. I had a lumpectomy in July this year. They discovered it was lobular and a 2nd op was needed to obtain clear margins. That was 3 weeks ago and they told me last Friday that no invasive cancer was found following the 2nd op, just 'in situ' pre cancerous cells as I understand

Chewing gum is a great help to me for reflux
I am a little more than a year post-op (Ivor-Lewis oesophagectomy/partial
gastrectomy
). Of course, I had had reflux for years but the symptoms were quelled by PPI's until after the operation.

PET scan for lesion
Has anyone had a PET scan for bone lesions? I had a CT and then MRI in preparation for my DEIP flap reconstruction 2 years post mastectomy. They found a "lesion" on my L2 vertebrate. I'm trying not to worry but it's hard not to x

delayed reconstruction options
I had a single mastectomy at the end of May and wasn't offered a reconstruction at the time as it was thought that I would need radiotherapy. The tumors were found to be very small and low grade so I haven't needed any chemo or radiotherapy (just Tamoxifen). I have an appointment next week to meet
