Fulvestrant

June 2020 started Ibrance and fulvestrant. No new scans yet as too soon. I hve never had any tumour markers elevated so monitoring is done via chest X-ray and Ct scan. My Lymph node Mets have caused pressure on my vocal cord nerve paralysing it and making my voice hoarse.

So now I am to take Fulvestrant and Alpelisib( as the genetic testing I had done in December showed I have the PI3K mutation. This is The Snallygaster. He has limited sight in his "good" eye and has the soul of an old wise one.

We saw her oncologist the next week, and now were struggling with getting her Ibrance prescription filled, but they were able to go ahead with her second Fulvestrant shot. ____ Does anyone have any experience with the Lactulose method? Is there anything else we can try?

I guess treatment (Abemaciclig/Verzenio, Zometa, Fulvestrant/Faslodex) is working. Let's hope it keeps working for a very long time. Good luck everyone! Anne (in Cincinnati)

Hi, so my last CT had a slight increase in a shadow in my liver so we decided to change Letrozole to Fulvestrant shots, staying on Ibrance and saving Piqurey for the future. Tuesday I went to get my blood labs and Fulvestrant shots. My CBC showed a decrease in Hemogloben.

Since starting the Ibrance 5/1/2020, she has been a bit foggy, lost track of time/tasks... but she ended her 21 day cycle of the pills and is in the off week until her shot of Fulvestrant in 4 days. Over the last few days, while not actively taking the Ibrance, she has been completely out of it.

So she has dropped the Afinitor/Exemestane combo and is going to start a new combo of a different pill (can't remember which one she chose and I haven't started it yet) with Fulvestrant injections.

I want to stay on Ibrance, but change to fulvestrant shots. Anyone have good results on Ibrance and Fulvestrant? Any feedback?

Has anyone taken this combo and if so, are you on 10mg for Fulvestrant? Can you share your side effects? The side effects of Everolimus sound terrible. I tolerated Ibrance very well so am hoping I can tolerate Everolimus similarly. Thanks so much for any info you can share.

I’m currently on Ibrance and fulvestrant. Over all it’s not that bad. I’m about to start my 4th cycle. During the 3rd cycle I started having headaches, blurred vision and numbness. (I had some numbness from chemo 10 years ago) It’s freaked me out.

They changed to Piqray and Fulvestrant and treated eyes + brain with whole head radiation. However progression below head continues. Piqray and Fulvestrant were stopped and started gemcitabine several weeks back and was hospitalized, severe stomach pain and swelling.

I will move from my Fulvestrant break (with Denosumab) to Xeloda Denosumab and d Avastine in two weeks (so glad I got the port a cath fitted). Hope Xeloda works for liver mets as I am running out of options and I love my life.

Starting 1st treatments and pills on Monday. Any advice?...I am a little scared of the Ibrance. Dr. Starting me at 125mg.

Having a two month break from chemo and have be put on Fulvstrant on a temporary basis. I have noticed joint and back pain. Have just had total body and CT scan with good results so know it is not new tumours. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this side effect? Many thanks, Ruth

I have been on Ibrance and Fulvestrant since March 2019. It took some time for my body to adjust to the ibrance and deal with the side effects. I finally started to feel ‘normal’- even if my blood counts never returned to normal.

I am just finishing my third line, the first two were tamoxifen and Anastrozole, for the past eight or nine months I have been on ibrance and fulvestrant. I am guessing my next line May be xeloda or possibly piqray if I have the mutation although financing I think will prohibit that.

Cancer has progressed a little in the abdomen and chest area. onk wants to keep me on ibrance and fulvestrant to see what it does until we get the results back from genomics. If I have a mutation, we will do targeted therapy accordingly.
