Xtandi can fuel spread of bone tumours in advanced prostate cancer?
I've been taking Xtandi for two months now and my PSA has continued to go down, however, I'm definitely getting more pain from a tumour on my back below my shoulder blade. It's gone from being just uncomfortable to now needing to take some painkillers before I go to bed otherwise it's too painful to

Is it too late for Triplet Therapy? (4 months on Elligard already.).
Switching to Dr. Dorff from old MO. First appointment on 12/28. Hoping to get Triplet Therapy that old MO basically said no to. That MO also dragged out any treatment beyond initial Elligard injection for two months waiting for a bone biopsy that she ultimately ignored the results of. Anyways, diagnosed

what’s typically after taxotere?
My father did 10 days radiation to lumbar spine and pelvis, is doing ADT (zytiga,Lupron) as well the xgeva. He just did his first round of taxotere last week and we’re gonna get him through the 6 rounds, god willing. What’s typically the next step after chemo? Does he then do immunotherapy? Also,

Still in Pain?
A week later the area was still hurting, like a dull ache and weakness on my entire lower leg so went for an x ray, it was negative for any breaks or
fractures
. Started to feel a little better after so I started going for some longer walks and did some yard work.

So now I'm hobbling!
Some of you may remember my post a few weeks ago telling you of my broken wrist sustained during a totally mad moment when I thought it was a good idea to try and stand on the kids hoverboard! Well, since then, I've managed pretty well to be independent and have found all sorts of ways of managing things

Zytiga side effects
Hi All, I started Zytiga one week ago. The biggest problem I am having is sleeplessness. Even with taking Restoril, a sleeping pill, I average between 3-4 hours of sleep per night. I’m a freaking zombie. My MO prescribed Trazodone for sleep, but I believe Restoril is stronger. Also had anyone experienced

I have a permanent spinal
fractures
and take morphine and Paracetamol as and when at home. Staff would always refuse to give pain relief, only docs can prescribe it. I could have walked across the road and bought things that were denied in hospital.

pain management
I’m curious what fellow warriors daily pain management looks like. In the past 8-12 weeks the increase in pain is noticeable. Previously I was walking daily and able to work. Now it’s a quick walk with the dogs in the morning and that’s all I can manage. Aleve did help but now I’m using hydrocodone to

Strengthening bones
It has worked but I currently have 3 spinal
fractures
. I have seen lots of you are taking Calcium and Vitamin D - my oncologist is not a fan of supplements or natural remedies but we "barter"; some stuff I try some I do not. I want to try but would like to know what doses everyone is taking.

Can Lupron trigger gross hematuria with clots in those men with radiation cystitis? Anyone experience this?
I have experienced 3 bouts of Hematuria with clots this year that sent me to the hospital ER because of blockage. After the first, I was advised I had radiation cystitis, which was 6 years out from salvage radiation. This year I started on Lupron and Xtandi for prostate cancer recurrence and had

Dubious ADT treatment
My father had RP late 2019, pT3a, Gleason 6, negative margins, positive node. 0.012 PSA 3 months after followed by 0.024, 0.04, 0.032, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06 and finally 0.052 at late 2021, two years after RP. Frankly the doctor he was going to seems like quite a clueless old guy who seemingly changes his

Week 6 Run 3 Slow but enjoying it!
I have just finished my week 6/run 3. A 25 minute jog without stopping. I still can’t believe it! I have definitely found keeping to a routine has worked for me. My Dad has been my inspiration. He has Alzheimer’s, and running was one of his loves. I keep him up to date when I’ve done a long run. My

***Scans are back***
Good morning my Brothers, I just got back my six month scans CT And Full body bone scan results back. It's been a five year ride of emotions for me and my family for sure. The great news is I've been 0.1 PSA since year one and continue to be that. My CT scans show no progression to any vital organs

Denosomab and Dental Treatment
I was prescribed Denosumab injections after osteoporosis
fractures
in my lumbar spine. The first injection was July 2022 and given by a nurse in the Rheumatology department. I was warned at the time that should I need invasive dental treatment (eg: extractions) I would be referred to a hospital.

Hashimotos for Sixteen Years, Realizing I Know Next to Nothing
She actually seemed concerned about kidney and liver issues but I was dealing with pain from vertebral
fractures
and shrinkage of my torso, so those items got pushed out of my mind. Meanwhile, I made quite a few changes to my diet.
