Allergy Testing
I was prescribed Pred,
Fostair
, Montelukast and Avamys and am on a waiting list for an injection. Now I just have a puff or two of ventalin when I get wheezy and I'm fine. The thing is after four years of NHS and BUPA care they did not test for this.

Confused re using blue inhaler
I was started on
Fostair
100/6 but this was increased around a month ago by the GP to
Fostair
200/6. To be honest, I've kind of been muddling through on my own as I haven't really been getting brilliant help from my surgery.

Referral to respiratory?
I'm currently on
fostair
200, salamol reliever, antihistamines, steroids and montelukast. I'm taking my reliever 6-10 time every 30-60 minutes day and night. I'm back at my GPS Tuesday and they said if it's not improved with this latest course of steroids they will refer me to respiratory.

Finally appointment time!
I’m on
fostair
200/6, spiriva, intal and salbutamol inhalers, antihistamines, montelukast, theophylline, maintenance pred and 2 prophylactic antibiotics and there’s no scope to reduce anything really as I’m still not fully controlled (just had a steroid wean admission a few weeks ago).

Foot cramp
I never had a problem until I was doubled up on my Seretide and even when I was changed to
Fostair
the cramps have continued. Before I make myself sound crazy at my appointment next week, I thought I’d ask in here. Thanks in advance!

Fostair Nexthaler causing sleep disturbance or chronic insomnia?
My mum is 89 and has used a Nexthaler for over a year. She has terrible insomnia which has got to the point where she can only doze for a few minutes at a time and the last real sleep was for about 90 minutes a few days ago. Has anyone else had terrible insomnia from this inhaler? For the last few months

New Inhalers
Hi, Just wanted to say that after years of getting chest infections and feeling ill, I now feel great due to the new inhalers I've been given by the hospital, they are
Fostair
and Eklira.

ALLERGIC REACTION
5 days later I am still suffering the effects, but am back on the
Fostair
with my reliever Ventolin in between and beginning to recover. I have always been very wary of medications but we are at the mercy of what is available to help.

Coughing
Hi All, does anyone supsect that the inhalers we use for asthma symptoms (
Fostair
) can exacerbate coughing? I have a dry cough like a rasp and I feel that the inhalers could be irritating my bronchial tubes. I cough so hard it makes my eyes water and could almost be sick.

Inhalers which one first
I am currently on
fostair
and have just been given spiriva. I would like to know if there's a correct sequence to follow and even if a gap in time should be left between the two.

New medication..
So i am now taking
Fostair
200/6, alvesco and montelukast. Has anyone used alvesco and how did you get on with it? My asthma is unpredictable and hard to control, and often told weird! I would just love to finally find a med that settles things down.

Low peak flow value?
Weight 165lbs I have asthma and was using
fostair
200/6 and reliever inhaler. Nurse changed me to Seretide 250 from the
fostair
due to persistent shortness of breathe and breathing difficulties. My peakflow for the last year has been 400-450. My PB this year was 450 i think.

Asthma copd overlap.
But
fostair
seems pretty good. The only issue I can't seem to get around is my breathing in the mornings. My peak flow and my breathing in general is poor in the AM. It gets better as the day goes on. Eg. My peak flow at its best is 450.
