Evenity versus Forteo/Tymlos
Hi everyone, Has anyone tried Evenity. My spine is worse than my hips but my doctor likes the results that this drug has given people in both areas. It is a relatively new drug so I am not as comfortable with it as compared to Forteo or Tymlos. For those who have tried Forteo or Tymlos, did they

Travel with Forteo
I'm going to italy for 5 months. From here to my destination will be about 24 hours. I have 5 vials of Forteo. How do I keep it cool enough. Is it a hassle getting it in the plane. Do I need anything to travel with it. The needles will be in suitcase. Thank you

(Part 4!) After 5 months on Forsteo
Our next concern of course, is what to do when
Forsteo
is no longer available to her. When I last wrote, Margaret had applied for PIP. After 5 months we heard that she had qualified for the basic rate, so that will be of some assistance.

Label Change on Forteo (teriparatide) for those who might have missed the news from the FDA and Eli Lilly
I have just read the information below on Inspire.com (The National Osteoporosis Foundation which is now the Bone Health & Osteoporosis) and thought it might be of some use to someone here. There was a link at the end of this which I’m not able to post right now. “I thought it might be helpful to post

Forteo
Side effects of Forteo? Does your insurance pay for Forteo? See dr. next week, I'm pretty sure she will put me on this drug. I'm very nervous about this. Also, how often do you need to see the dr. while on treatment? I have a high copay for this dr. Sigh........

Question about Forteo injector pen
If you discharge the Forteo pen without the needle attached does that mess up the dosage? When I use it the next time will I get 2 doses?

(Part 3!) At long last, about to start Teriparatide.
Having had her first
Forsteo
pen sat in our fridge for weeks, we did start to dispare when we received a text from the Lloyds Pharmacy home care team stating that many of the nurses are absent due to Covid.

Almost 1 year on FORTEO
I have been taking Forteo since January, and have had zero side effects. I am scheduled to see my doctor and have a DEXA scan early next year to see results of increased bone mass (hopefully!). I was surprised to learn after I complete my 2-year regime of Forteo, that I will need to continue on osteoporosis

My rheumatologist said I am going to have a hip or spine fracture and that will lead me to an earlier death, he said if I take the medication I will live longer. K2 question
I'm taking Forteo, calcium and d3. I know I need to add k2. I'm not sure which one. My endocrinologist is not very helpful.

What to do about my Osteoporosis? 78 years old, Last DEXA scan shown severe osteoporosis. Did not like what the doctor said to do.
My rheumatologist suggested I take a shot in my stomach for two years of a medication called FORTEO, Sorry about the spelling of the medication. Some thing about taking a shot in my stomach every day for two years and then going onPreolia.. I have decided to do nothing. My daughter is upset with me she

Fosamax side effects
Fosamax was useless. I continued to deteriorate. Waiting to get on Forteo as my osteoporosis is severe. Being on thyroid medication also seems to be a waste despite dose and brand not getting better. The doctor claims no other issues. I'm fed up., I didn't have any other side affect s such as gastric

Waiting for a decision on Teriparatide (Part 2)
Just to let you know, when we got home yesterday afternoon we still had not heard when Margaret's
Forsteo
was to be delivered. Anger and upset does motivate action however, and now, following some direct 'phone calls we learn that it is to be delivered on Monday.

Phlegm in abundance for nearly two years. Is there any known condition that causes this much phlegm over a long period without diagnosis?
Mucus in abundance: I cough up or simply clear my throat dozens of times a day bringing up a tablespoon of mucus each time. I can fill a 12 ounce water bottle with the slimy stinky stuff each day. I currently am eating well but loosing weight from 150 down to 143 over a couple of months. I had gained
