Moved house, new shoes, this heat is killing me & I'm scared to join parkrun :0
Okay yes its looong So it has been a busy, busy couple of weeks for me both personally and running wise. First of I moved house - same city, but different neighbourhood. Luckily this is just by my favourite running spot in a big park / forest! Running wise - injury wise, my physio told me I needed

Stat bike exercise?
Today was a visit to the cardiologist. Two years ago I had 100% obstruction of the LAD, one of the major arteries feeding the heart. It was cleaned out then a stent put in. Lately I've had chest pain similar to the pain from the obstruction. But a recheck says the arteries are still wide

Struggling with emotion
I recently had a test for unrelated problem that was clear, abdominal pain starting 3am. Left with no solution. I'm starting to doubt everything, I have constant angina, my gp doesn't know why considering the meds I'm on, Metroprolol 75mg ×2, Ikorel 20mg×2, Ticagrelor 90mg×2, Colchicine 500mcg, Ivabradine

Chest pains 9 months after heart attack
I had a heart attack and stent fitted last October and have been pretty good ever since. I’ve lost weight and started playing golf again. Things were good but then had bad chest pains 2 nights ago. I used GTN spray but was very dizzy, almost passed out and had severe sweating. By the time the ambulance

How has anyone felt after Atrial Fibrillation episode
I’m asking on behalf of my husband. He has coronary artery spasms but last week, he had different chest pain that was not eased by gtn spray. Called ambulance and admitted. Diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. Episode of AF last nearly 4 hours. He has felt absolutely washed out since. Slowly improving

CT Cardiac angiogram
Hi, just thought I would go through my experience of a CT cardiac angiogram as it may relieve some worries. Hope it helps. I was booked for this test a week after an emergency admission with chest pain to rule out any coronary artery disease. I was obviously scared of the outcome on top of my mitral

Exercise with angina.
I'm trying to get over my mental block to exercise. I have microvascular angina, so it's constant. Even though it's been a few years on this journey, 2011, first HA, a few stents, so no major problems as so many have. Whenever I do exercise, I seem to overdo it and get told off by gp. GTN does relieve

Anorectal manometry test
Does anyone have experience of this? After a long wait I have an appointment in 3 weeks and am dreading it. I want to get it done as it may explain why I am unable to empty my bowels properly but the information sheet says I don`t need to do any preparation beforehand (in the way of laxatives etc)

Lifespan of stents?
I had stents following major heart attack end of last year. While in hospital a few patients who had already had stents for a while were either being re-stented or given bypass surgery. I can’t help thinking about this and wondering how long stents can last - I recognise there will be differences between

New here, with my diagnosis.
I have just had my letter from the hospital with the results of my CT Scan.aThe CT scan shows significant narrowing of at least one of the main coronary arteries and also one of the coronary artery branches. My consultant has asked for an urgent coronary angioplasty. The report shows heavy calcium

Regular episodes of unstable angina
Hi, I had an MI in 2018 which required a stent; up until a few months ago things were pretty good however since April I have had to attend a/e for chest pains and told it is unstable angina. My ecg, bloods and another angiogram do not show a new heart attack (which I am really pleased with) but I am

Angina help please
Hubby had HA Oct 2016, 4 stents and all the normal drugs. He has been fine until today, he had chest pains and looked very white. I went straight for 999, advised to give him aspirin and use his GTN spray, ever been diagnosed with Angina but years ago given spray in case of need. BP 240/120, ECG looked

Waiting for a decision on Teriparatide (Part 2)
Dear friends, This is Steve again on behalf of Margaret my dear wife. Just as you dare to think matters are slowly improving, this has happened! Margaret got out of bed on Sunday morning and went to the bathroom. As she stood up she felt a vice like grip from her spine, around her ribs and crushing
