Flecainide

He has put me back on Eliquis and added diltiazem along with my flecainide . I am so tired and anxious and listen to every heart beat. It is so hard to deal with setbacks I know things can be worse hoping for some advice..

I've been on Flecainide in the past and that worked for a while but was taken off it. I'm on Verapamill 240mg and Ramiprill. Has anyone experienced this ? what shall I expect. Any advise would be very welcome. Thanks

I have been taking Flecainide for 18 years and have had no side affects... However when I went to a local clinic for a urinary tract infection the Dr. made a serious face when I mentioned Flecainide and said it is not a good thing to be on that drug for so long....

I stayed calm took my pill in the pocket 200mg of flecainide. One hour later. As recommended by Cardiolgist. I took a further 50mg flec. Knowing i could even take 100mg but thats the maximum for the day. One hour later and i was back in sinus mode.

So this weekend I Hav a major af attack and had another trip to A&E My meds were changed there yet again but this time I feel amazing for the first time in a long time because of the change and I'm so happy THey changed me from sotalol to flecainide and bisoprolol. I love flecainide!!!!!!

The Doc put me on Flecainide (50 mg. 2x day) for racing heart beat. I was wondering if this med could be causing this and how long is it safe to stay on this? Any side effects? Also, when I have extreme problem breathing, is it safe to take my inhaler (cause I know this speeds the heart up)?

Has anyone else experienced a bad time coming off Flecainide? My gp has now prescribed Flecainide Liquid, which seems to be for children, so that I can reduce the dose more accurately. Has anyone else tried this?

Ever since being put on Flecainide, Metoprolol and Xarelto a little over a year ago I have not felt like myself. At the risk of being written-off as too dramatic I will say that if asked how I am feeling I would have to use the word "toxic".

Anyway after the usual tests ( Holter for a week ) and drugs ( Bisoprolol and Flecainide ) etc I ended up having my ablation last Friday at the BUPA Cromwell in West London ( Great team there ) .

Flecainide/Bisoprolol did not work for me. I have now just started on Amiodarone as the last alternative to take for only a few months prior to the ablation. You can imagine my nervousness with this drug! Fingers crossed short-term use does not cause any problems in the meantime!

I take 50 mg of flecainide twice a day! I see on here that some people say it can take six months to properly settle down . Many thanks in advance people x

Anybody out there with experience of a dropping pulse rate on Flecainide only? The medics say Flec does not reduce the pulse rate but just governs the rhythm i.e. AF However......

At different times I have taken flecainide in 100mg and 200mg slow acting capsules (CR) as well 100mg tablets 2x daily. I am now on 100mg CR (slow acting). Out of the above three, I get the strangest side effects from the 100mg CR, which is surprising as its the lowest dose.

Consequently, The doctor increased my flecainide rom 50 mg 2 X a day to 100 mg 2X a day. Has anyone experienced side effects from flecainide??? I am concerned about the increased dosage. Any advice?

Beta blockers didn't work for me but flecainide did! I am lucky I have only been out of sinus for a couple of days all together! Good luck to each and everyone of you!

I am about to stop the flecainide on my own! I am not a sedantery person, and I feel like a prisoner in my own body.

BTW, I did try flecainide prior to ablation and it proved to be pro arrhythmic for me, so much so I had to take myself to emergency where they stopped it. Thanks!

They started me on flecainide + metoprolol which the side effects are rendering me unfunctional. We have lessened the dosage low enough so I can function but it means I am having breakthrough episodes especially around the dosing hours.

In between I have had the occasion flutter which Flecainide has seen of. I felt happy, healthy, fit, contented a feeling I'd had for several months. I did a parkrun on a Saturday and was really pleased with my time and on Sunday woke up to the present state.
