Flecainide 2 X's Daily v. PIP
I have an issue with this, especially the
Flecainide
because I had a heart attack 8 years ago and had a stent placed. I just today read that I should not be taking
Flecainide
with the Plavix because it will cause the Plavix not to work.

Flutter, two and a half weeks post ablation! Any thoughts
I do have some
flecainide
tablets that my EP told me to take at a dose of 100mg followed by another after 2 hours if iI was still in AF, but as this was before the ablation and I have never taken
flecainide
before I haven't taken one yet. Any thoughts?

Very Nervous
I have had to check my liver for the past 4 years because I've been on
Flecainide
for AFib. It has always been normal until now. I just had the dosage recently reduced as well. I'm also a social drinker, not an alcoholic. I have to be retested in 6 weeks.

Diagnosed with Afib 3 yrs ago and put on
Flecainide
and Eliquis. Have not been in Afib since then. No flutters, nothing at all. I am having increased side effects of brain fog, shortness of breath on exertion, anxiety, lethargy, etc., presumably from one of the meds.

Fits of rage...
At least the
Flecainide
did its stuff very quickly. Back to the drawing board for me. Nearly two years off alcohol and caffeine really has driven me around the bend. I used to be quite a placid fellow.....

Flecainide as PIP
Reading this forum there seems to be very mixed opinions on
flecainide
and whilst i’m pleased to stop taking daily bisoprolol I feel a little anxious about this new drug regime. Anyone on similar treatment plans I would be grateful to hear of any experiences good or bad!!

Should I have stopped digoxin?
Hi all, I have permanent af and take low dose of
flecainide
and dabigatran. 3 months ago I was put on digoxin for a fast heart rate but I think this has caused me to have a very bad stomach, nausea, no appetite and very weepy so on Friday I decided to stop taking digoxin.

Give me some encouragement family!
Took 200mg
Flecainide
for the first time as doctor prescribed. 32 years old with no other risk factors. Tell me I’m going to be ok. I know I am, but need that reassurance from the long time sufferers.

Ablation recovery time & Flec
Started
Flecainide
first of March a50mg twice daily and take another 50mg with episode. Having episode this morning after I took a “swig” of husband’s bourbon last night! You’d think I’d know better than to test the limits!!!

Pip to daily meds
So EP is now saying
flecainide
and metoprolol twice daily. Not a big suprise, just disappointing. Ironically, these last few days Ive been active on here re pro/ con of ablation as Ive been petrified of " the A word", but many posts here are slowly calming my fears.

Ablation and dental question
Been on Bisoprolol since Feb 2017,
Flecainide
since Sept and now also on Apixaban following 4 admissions to hospital since Dec. AF has got more frequent and severe. Been on the waiting list for Ablation since 27/12, and was told yesterday it will probably be on 17/5 .

Is anyone taking bisoprolol,, digoxin or any other rate control drug just because
flecainide
could cause a rapid heart rate?

Undertaking some detailed study of how the heart works (or doesn't).
In the meantime, treatment consists of a daily dose of
Flecainide
, which seems to be helping. As someone who has studied quite a lot, I feel I should understand a little more about my body and this condition specifically.

Thought it was menopause
To be honest the
flecainide
seems to work for the main flutters but still have slight flutters and still feel light headed at times.

Magnesium with heart meds?
I was thinking of supplementing with magnesium, but I am currently taking 25 mg extended release metoprolol once a day and
flecainide
100 mg twice a day.

Is anybody suffering from CKD as well as Atrial Fibrillation?
I have the PAF mostly under control with
Flecainide
slow release 150mg per day. I have no side effects. It is so effective that my last attack was July last year and lasted for about 2 hours only. It was also very mild. However, I'm beginning to wonder if the med is bad for kidneys.

I did it!
Having seen ep and being told to stop Nebivolol and being given 100 of
Flecainide
as a PIP, I immediately started having several episodes of AF at night. I was anxious about taking the
Flecainide
as nobody had said have the first tablet monitored.
