Almost 3 Months Post Ablation and Getting increased Blood Pressure.
I am just into my 11th week after my ablation and am due to stop the three months course of
Flecainide
; the first 10 weeks were OK other than a blip in week one, and my blood pressure has been steady at around 120/75 with a HR of 60 ( pre ablation I was on Sotalol ) .

Flecainide again!!
I have taken
Flecainide
since 2011. First 100 mg bd and now 50 mg twice a day. In all that time I've had one episode during a flu type virus and that was when I was 100 twice a day. Not wanting or hoping for medical advice.

Outpatient dilemma.
The
Flecainide
was supposed to be increased from 50 to 100mg last week but not done. This is another nightmare topic for another occasion. On the discharge sheet under INSTRUCTIONS FOR GP the box N/A is ticked. Now I am unsure what I must do.

I felt so smug....
So have tried for the first time the 200 mg of
Flecainide
as the pill in the pocket remedy. After an hour my heart rate has dropped to 120, still twice its normal pace but my cardiologist says can take up to four hours. Hope it gets sorted as due to have arthroscopies on both knees tomorrow.

Sometimes but very rarely
Flecainide
will stop it after a few hours. Waiting to try Propafanone. Luckily my HR never goes too wild so I can ride it out. Di

PAF to Permanent?
Or could it be that after almost 5 years the
Flecainide
I take (150x2 daily), is no longer working?

87 years old but new to AFIB
I did get with my doctors after the 1st incident and have been given the drugs of Eliquis 5 mg twice a day and
Flecainide
50mg twice a day. I had two incidents about 2 weeks after I started with these drugs, the longest 8 hours and the fastest 209 BPM.

Actavis/Accord brand Flecainide
Well, I finally got my surgery to add Actavis brand to my
Flecainide
script to avoid getting other brands on which I seem to get a lot of ectopics. Now I find that Actavis has rebranded to Accord! Hey Ho, Hey Ho, It’s off to the surgery again I go🎵🎶 Pat x

Do PVCs+valve problem lead to heart failure?
I’ve been taking Verapamil and
Flecainide
for 5 years but have decided to have an ablation. I’m really worried that having PVCs and valve regurgitation leads to heart failure. I work as a gardener and am sometimes exhausted after only a few hours. Has anyone else had this?

Propafanone
Trying to come off the
Flecainide
and try Propafanone. Surgery say either Nebivolol or Propafanone not both. Is that right?

Treating both AFib and Thyroiditis
I am taking Eliquis and
Flecainide
. Recently, an old condition, Hashimoto's Thyroiditis returned after being resolved since 2006. The endocrinologist was hesitant to put me on Synthroid for fear of it aggravating my Afib. We are however trying me on a very low dose 12.5 mcg daily.

a few things I learned.
I was aware that propafanone increased INR but not used
flecainide
much so had no experience but for reasons explained in my next post I was given, to use my EPs words, "a shed load of IV flecianide". Result was a rocket from 2.6 to 4.5 overnight!.

Ablation Questions & Issues
Nevertheless, in 2017 I tried to wean myself off the Bisoprolol and reduce the
Flecainide
but the AF returned so I went back to the prescribed dose.

Nightly vibrations following Afib treatment with Flecainid and Burnout Syndrome diagnosis
In order to "reset" the heartbeat and get rid of the Afib, I was treated with the agent
Flecainide
Acetate (Aristocor was the name of the drug), to which I responded so heavily, that it led to three syncopes at the hospital within 30 minutes under the doctors' and nurses' watch, with heart stops between

Flecainide use and alternatives?
Flecainide
appeared to work for me at reducing/controlling atrial fibrillation but not any more despite using what I think may be the maximum dose of 400mg on some days. I've had ablations but the AF keeps returning.
