Hi Everyone, short intro- PAF for 2 years average 1 episode lasting 6-8 hours a fortnight, 180-190 hb, medication 1.25mg Bisoprolol, 20mg Rivaroboxan and flecainide pill in the pocket. My problem at the moment is am not out of breath but over the last few months their are times where it feels like my lungs are full of cotton wool and breathing is difficult, and it’s seems to be getting more frequent. My question is, is this another part of AF and has anyone experienced this that could share some helpful information. Thanks

If there have been no changes to your medication, I wonder if you problems are due to AF being a progressive condition. Maybe now would be a good time to see an Electrophysiologist (EP) to review your current treatment plan and maybe if appropriate, consider an ablation.........

Thanks Flapjack for your reply. It’s very hard to see an EP in N.Ireland only Cardiologists are available and to be honest I have got better advice from here than I have got from them. I assume from the one and only reply (thanks) that is not common within AF and may not be associated with it. Will continue my research before talking with my Cardiologist. Hope your doing well and take care.

Good Morning, I always feel that my breathing is affected. Seem to take deep breaths for no apparent reason. Just getting over an episode. But I think I may have a cold coming as I seem to be sneezing a lot and coughing at the moment. Last week when my blood pressure went sky high paramedic said slow your breathing down. Xx

Breathing is very relevant. Practise listening to your body as it is an amazing 'machine', if its slowing you up slow up, if you start feeling like deep breaths are good do them regularly during the day and at night wear a nasal strip - all my experience
