Sat with my box of Flecainide feeling nervous…..
So im 43, had a AF attack in Jan 2021, blue lighted to hospital with a irregular heart rate of 210 bpm, given Flec, and returned to NSR, and was went home. I’ve only had 1 other episode since then (last week, felt a flutter and then my heart raced to 155 bpm, and settled within 2 hours). I’ve had ECGs

changing med for Afib
I was having a lot of lightheadedness and dizziness so my doctor Put me on only one atenolol pill and left me on 2
Flecainide
and also took me off of my blood pressure pill. This Seem to be a change as I have been on a blood pressure pill for many many years.

how long would you expect an ablation to be successful for.?
twice in last 2 months I've had a couple of hours of af and had to take
flecainide
to settle it. Both times were a few days after a long run. Half marathon ( not sure if it's exercise or menopause or just that it's been 8years since the ablation.

Lightheadedness With AF
I am also taking
Flecainide
twice a day. My cardiologist has mentioned maybe it is something else not related to AF. He has just stopped my blood pressure pill that I had been taken for 10 years.

Ablation advice
I understand little except to tell the EP the fatigue on low-dose
Flecainide
and Bisoprosolol is more frequent though I feel better on it than off it!! My consult was 15 mins. I didn’t get to ask why ablation over BBs… and risks/benefits.

Small Purple/Red Bruises
I’m on Rivaroxaban and
Flecainide
and I read somewhere they could be caused by blood thinners? Any info greatly received.

Flecainide and Bisoprolol
He advised me I have to have a pace maker and I'm to come off
Flecainide
and Bisoprolol immediately. I'm 24 weeks pregnant and I'm only 28 and to say I'm bricking it is an understatement! I'm just seeing if anyone has gone or is going through similar as I don't even know how to feel for it 🙈 x

Flecainide and stomach
I am prescribed
Flecainide
Acetate 50mg bd for AF. US websites do not generally put any limitations on how to take the pills ...but UK ones often do ...and my pharmacist always puts a label on the box saying "Take on an empty stomach, ...1 hour before a meal or 2 hours after a meal".

Anxiety with Afib
I was in Resus overnight for thelast episode, had 3 different IV beta blockers, to no avail, and was finally given oral
Flecainide
, which worked after 40 minutes, and prevented cardioversion..

Beta Blockers and Vagal Afib
My former EP had suggested he wanted to do beta blocker +
flecainide
- it's certainly seeming that was wrong for me.

A question about angiogram/ablation
I have had AF for at least 15 years, controlled by bisoprolol and increasing doses of
flecainide
. For reasons not quite clear to me I'm now booked in for an angiogram. My GP followed it up and tells me it's because I said I'd think about an ablation.

New ectopics on reducing beta blockers after 2nd Ablation in Feb
Only seemed to start on me, when down to 2.5mg bisoprolol plus 100mg bd
Flecainide
. Wanting to come off both, when possible. Appreciate people's thoughts ?

Flecainide
I’ve been prescribed
Flecainide
low dose 50mg one at night. Since taking it I feel very tired and lethargic and a bit irritable! Is anyone else on this medication? I’m hoping once my body gets used to it the side effects will wear off!

I have recently started on
Flecainide
, only low dose, 50mg once a day at night. Anyone had side effects from this drug, tiredness, a bit weak, etc. I feel so tired and lethargic since taking it and a bit irritable! I'm hoping once my body gets used to it, these effects will wear off.

Can medication be reduced after a certain time with no problems?
I take
Flecainide
, Bisoprolol, Amlodipine, Ramipril, Atorvastatin and Warfarin!!!! It would be nice to try and wean myself off or reduce as many meds as I can, especially the more powerful ones if I no longer need them.

What's the point of taking Flecainide if it gives you flutter?
Has anyone else decided to live with Afib on no drugs (other than anticoagulants) rather than have flutter on
Flecainide
?

I was doing very well with
Flecainide
to control my ectopics. About three weeks ago they started to get worse, until now the
Flecainide
( 100 mgs twice a day ) doesn’t seem to help at all.
