Hot Flashes
While my side effects from the
Firmagon
and chemo are pretty mild, the hot flashes make it difficult to sleep. I saw something about a patch that can make them less intense. Does anyone have any experience with this and does the patch affect the ADT?

2 months Firmagon...then 30 days Salvage Radiation?
At this point...the consensus (URO, RO and MO) is to do 2 months of
Firmagon
/Degarelix ADT (starts Monday)....and THEN do 30 days of SRT...and continue ADT for 2-3 years. They say that 2 months ADT is needed to "sensitize" the cancer cells.

Surgery and Prostrate Cancer Sufferers
Taking 300mg of olaparib (Lynparza) 2times a day and monthly
Firmagon
injections. Testosterone less than 10L. Need shoulder replacement and concerned about healing due to low T and any other possible problems. Anyone have experience or knowledge about surgery for prostrate cancer sufferers.

Starting Chemo & Immunotherapy this week
He started monthly
Firmagon
shots in April but there was a delay in starting the clinical trial because of the Covid virus. We got word last week they were finally ready to start.

He began with

firmagon
shot pain), stopped Zytiga august 2019. today he has got his CT scan results: The link does not work but I put it just under as reply, have a look.

Xgeva vs Estrogen Patch against bone loss?
my husband will begin ADT, probably
Firmagon
. since he has already some micro bone mets and to some degree osteopenia, bone loss while on ADT is an even more serious issue. What are the differences in this regard between Xgeva and E2 add-back in men undergoing non-estrogen ADT?

Firmagon vs. Lupron?
My doc wants me to switch from
Firmagon
to Lupron so that’ll be on a 3 month schedule instead of the every 30 day shot with
Firmagon
. Which is the better of these two drugs? I started with
Firmagon
bases on its supposed lower risk for CVD. Not sure what to do.

Firmagon - no side effects not working?
My father took a triple dose of
Firmagon
3 days ago and besides feeling a bit tired and almost drunk the first day (and an itching on the injection spots) says he feel zero side effects. He even woke up the day after with an erection (which he told me about in a ”it doesnt seem to work??”

Husband still not undetectable after restarting ADT...should we be worried?
My husband's T is at 2.5 and PSA is at 0.27 after 5 months on
Firmagon
(last month it was at 0.16). Should we be worried about castrate resistance at this point? His urologist said not to add another med before another PSA check bc PSA may have bumped bc of AUS surgery he had four weeks ago.

Treatment of Inguinal hernia after RP and Axumin scan?
Plus likely start of
Firmagon
ADT about that time. Plus likely Varian Edge targeted radiology about that time an hour away in Kennewick WA, but we need to see Axumin results first.

PSA drop VMAT-radiation
We are talking to the doctor today and I’m going to suggest
Firmagon
but I know that the doctor might (not sure) think that we ”destroy the instrument” of PSA-testing.

What are the pros and cons of intermittent vs. continuous ADT?
I’ve elected to take monthly
Firmagon
injections over Lupron because of the reported lower risk of CVD. My MO is indicating I will have to stay on
Firmagon
continuously until I become castrate resistant.
