Faslodex lumps??
Last treatment (1month ago today) I developed large lumps at both injection sites. When I say large I mean ovoid, the width of my palm with the length up to the last joint of my fingertips. Today-treatment day, I still have 1” size knots at the sites. Nurse told me it was not uncommon with people who

I've never posted my story, so here goes. In Oct. 2017 I suddenly experienced numbness to the sole of my right foot, within a week I developed severe and debilitating pain to right leg and hip. PSA was at 48. Whole Body scan showed mets to pelvis, lumbar spine and sternum. MRI showed tumor at S1 which

Scrotum Itch
Shortly after starting ADT, I've developed this excruciating scrotum itch. Has anyone else experienced this? Specifics: About 4 months ago Dx Stage IV. Started Casodex, Lupron, Zytiga, Xgeva, Prednisone. In about a month, developed scrotum itch, which isn't getting better. At first thought it was associated

Still undetectable 56 months after DX w/ original 209 PSA and bone mets..
Hi all; Great news today still showing a PSA of <0.02. I never ever thought that this would have been possible after my initial horrific DX let alone that I would still be alive. Still on the monthly injection of Firmagon (which I hate) and daily 50 mg of Casodex. I do have to admit that the side effects

Monotherapy or ADT3?
Hola Friends, I need advice concerning Lupron as a Monotherapy or switching to ADT(3) as suggested by Maack C (2019). Triple Hormonal Blockade (ADT3): A Patient’s Perspective. Update from onc today
We discussed the mixed results again- he said if they are new it depends on how resistant they are to meds-
faslodex
, ibrance. He would be more inclined to have them radiated but depends. Omg! My tumor markers just stabilized and this month showed slight decrease.

Guiding care for 76 yo husband with aggressive pca
I know most men eventually get pca. It lingers or it doesn’t. We got attacked. Psa was 3 for years. Didn’t have it checked often. Last year in the 7s. Urology said normal for 76yo. Prostate not enlarged when palpated. Went to urology for slow stream. Had that for 20 years. Started flomax

Has anyone done docetaxel with ADT as a first line treatment?
My husband was diagnosed in the last month and has only has a Firmagon shot and ~10 days of Casodex. We know he has a high volume of mets. Curious if anyone else has gone right to chemo instead of Zytiga/Xtandi or used it in conjunction as a first-line treatment? Also, are there any trials or studies

With good Zytiga response, do I really need Lupron for adjunctive ADT pre-Brachy?
Five weeks ago, started adjunctive ADT in prep for HDR Brachy in a few weeks. Scholz at POS recommended Casodex, Lupron, and Zytiga together. Due to delays in approvals, and whatnot, the first 3 weeks I was on Casodex alone, dropped PSA from 33 to 21. Then added Zytiga+Pred for last two weeks, and PSA

What’s next? Hearing different approaches from different people.
Dad had his orchiectomy 6 months ago. He lives in India. He was diagnosed with PSA of 64, bone Mets (stage 4) and Gleason 9. He was put on casodex and zolendronic acid (bone medicine). His 3 months check up after orchiectomy was 18, so he continued with the current plan. On His 6 months check up, the

Stop Casodex if on Lupron and Zytiga?
See my profile for more details. I've been on Casodex + Lupron + Zytiga for about 3 months. PSA is decreasing fast. During recent appointment, my oncologist said I can stop taking Casodex.
