Esbriet

At the moment Esbriet seems to be the least of the evils, but I wondered if anyone else has any useful insights on these drugs. I would expect a fair few members are on mycophenolate, but what about the other two drugs?

Does anyone have Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and taking anti-fibrotic drugs such as Ofev or Esbriet AND also have PCa and taking Orgovyx? I would like to know firsthand experience of such combination of drugs. Thanks in Advance

He is taking Esbriet presc by The Brompton. I am now concerned he will have to wait even longer for an appt for his test, his breathing is worse and the pumps don't seem to make a huge difference....I am concerned he will get lost in paperwork and his test severely delayed...any advise?

hi been on esbriet 6 months..tbh not sure if its doing any good...has anyone been on them and came off and felt better for doing so? seeing lung dr in week and pondering whether i should go for quality and not quantity

Hi I’ve been on Esbriet for 6 weeks and one silly mistake putting the wrong factor sun cream on (used 15 instead of 50) resulted in me getting the dreaded rash. I’ve been told to stop taking my meds for two weeks and it will clear up.

Hi everyone, i am currently taking esbriet, i got up to max dose of 3 tablets 3x a day but couldn`t cope with them and papworth took me back down to 2 tablets 3x a day, i am having some issues with these tablets which i expect but the reason why i am writing this is because i`m feeling very deppresed

He is in a clinical trial with chemo and Pirfenidone (Esbriet) 9 pills per day. He has had 4 Carbo/alimta infusions with small shrinkage but mostly stable disease.

My choices are Nintedanib or Esbriet (pirfenidone) The side effects of both are not special, just wondered if you good people out there have any experience on either. Theses drugs were recommended by the Brompton Hospital, look forward to you answers.

Hello my husband was diagnosed with uip in July 2017 and at that time had a 36% lung capacity and on 3 liter of oxygen.He was put on esbriet and has been doing great without any side effect.He hasn't worked since march of 17 we wish we New what this life has in store for us at this point all we no is

Not able to take esbriet because my breathing was 91 and nice does not allow this drug to be prescribed to people who has over 80 per cent. My question is what happens to all people with ipf who cannot be given this slowing down drug?

Esbriet or Pirfenidone I began taking this medication mid November and quit December 31. The side effects were just to much, headaches, body aches, and greatly increased fatigue. I'm feeling I'm on the down swing health wise hoping I level off and find a new groove.
