EGFR p.L747_T751de
Hi, Dad’s oncologist has stopped the
Erlotinib
as last scan in Jan showed tumour growth. Private Liquid biopsy result just back, mutation EGFR p.L747_T751de. No treatment offered by NHS, oncologist thinks will be more harmful to dad but how does he know for sure?

Treatment stopped
The Oncologist told dad to now stop taking the
Erlotinib
as it wasn’t working any longer. I feel utterly helpless and for the first time, defeated. I can’t believe my dads prognosis, I don’t know what to do.

Actinic keratosis & Lung cancer
Hi, Dad is in 5th week of taking
Erlotinib
and corresponding face rash appears to be under control with prescribed cream / antibiotics. Also good to see that his cough has reduced in frequency by around 90% and no increase in fatigue.

Tagrisso vs Erlotinib
Hi All, Dad had results of liquid biopsy and EGFR positive, Oncologist has recommended
Erlotinib
( NHS treatment). We understand that his diagnosis T4 N2 M0 is non curative but trying to balance quality of life and length; chemo and a standard biopsy were deemed not tolerable for my 89 yr old dad.

Tasigna (Nilotinib) as a treatment/cure for FA?
Hello dear, I read that a few years ago there was conducted a medical study regarding Tasigna nilotinib and hereditary ataxia. I have heard many positive experiences from people with hereditary ataxia who have used the medication. I myself have Friedreich ataxia. * Friedreich's ataxia is an inherited

My post is lost?
I wrote a post and thought I'd sent in but can't find it now. So a repost: I saw Dr Bortan today for a Botox treatment of my tremoring left arm. She asked how the Botox is helping. I said there's no wrinkles on my left arm. Then I mentioned I can't do a pull-up because my grip is weak. She suggested

CSF MicroRNAs Reveal Impairment of Angiogenesis and Autophagy in PD This research report, which appears in this month's Neurology Genetics points out that a degradation of the functioning of the Blood Brain Barrier leads to the inability of the brain to rid itself of bad stuff. I started this response over three weeks ago. I had some intense dyskinesia that caused me to lose content so I had to start over several times. Thank you to all those people that offered advice. I know I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree and I cannot repeat sub 5 minute miles in a marathon. At the

leukemia drug nilotinib could halt the progression of motor- and non-motor-related symptoms in Parkinson’s disease.
Specifically, they discovered that the 300-mg dose of nilotinib reversed these effects by inactivating a protein called DDR1 that affects the ability of the blood-brain barrier to function correctly. On the inhibition of DDR1 by nilotinib, the normal transportation of molecules in and out of the brain

When I got home I did some more research and after reading several forums and other documents I came across evidence and people who have been given
Erlotinib
/Tarceva despite being EGFR negative and had very good results.

Long‐Term Safety and Clinical Effects of Nilotinib in Parkinson's Disease (Nov 20, 2020)
Georgetown University asked me to share the most recent paper on Nilotinib with you all. https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/mds.28389 I explained that some who were involved in earlier trials did not get great results. I believe they are sorry and feel they have a better grasp on the protocol
