Hi, Dad’s oncologist has stopped the Erlotinib as last scan in Jan showed tumour growth. Private Liquid biopsy result just back, mutation EGFR p.L747_T751de. No treatment offered by NHS, oncologist thinks will be more harmful to dad but how does he know for sure?

The Oncologist told dad to now stop taking the Erlotinib as it wasn’t working any longer. I feel utterly helpless and for the first time, defeated. I can’t believe my dads prognosis, I don’t know what to do.

Hi, Dad is in 5th week of taking Erlotinib and corresponding face rash appears to be under control with prescribed cream / antibiotics. Also good to see that his cough has reduced in frequency by around 90% and no increase in fatigue.

Hi All, Dad had results of liquid biopsy and EGFR positive, Oncologist has recommended Erlotinib ( NHS treatment). We understand that his diagnosis T4 N2 M0 is non curative but trying to balance quality of life and length; chemo and a standard biopsy were deemed not tolerable for my 89 yr old dad.

What happened to Nilotinib for PD. Just another drug that has fizzled out.

When I got home I did some more research and after reading several forums and other documents I came across evidence and people who have been given Erlotinib/Tarceva despite being EGFR negative and had very good results.
