Recent blood results, help interpreting
Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a while, but would like my latest blood results checked with the knowledgable people on here. I've been on a treatment of 125mcg of Levothyroxine and alternating days of 5mcg and 7mcg of liothyronine. I have been feeling better on this dose, and was slightly too highly

UK guidelines for management of thyroid nodules?
As the title says, are there any official UK guidelines for management of thyroid nodules? I've googled but can't really find anything... I have a 3cm x 3cm colloid thyroid nodule and a few smaller colloid and spongiform nodules – seen on ultrasound after I noticed a visible lump in my neck. The consultant

Help with results - what would you do?
Hello I finally got a private endo to agree to up my meds from 75mcg levothyroxine to 100 or112.5 if I felt it necessary in July 2023 allowing my TSH to fall below range, and that I understood and was willing to take the risks. My 3 pm slump was dangerous as I was fighting to stay awake on the way

Appointment on tuesday
Having been on the waiting list to see an endocrinologist, I have now got an appointment on Tuesday (cancellation). In my previous posts I asked about my results as I thought there was a possibility I might have secondary hypothyroidism as both tsh and free T4 are at the lower end of normal. I had private

Hi all, I don't really expect an answer but I have endo follow up tomorrow at the QE and I wondered if you could give me your views on my blood results from last week please? menopause and thyroid health
I’ve tried to Google looking for some information, not sure if I’m just not searching using the correct wording. Does anyone have any research articles that addresses any effect menopause can have on our thyroid function? A thought crossed my mind, so bear with me. Some of us get diagnosed with

I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2015. I was treated with 50 micrograms of levothyroxine daily until this March when my Tsh finally crept above the Normal range.(0.55- 4.78). My dose was raised to 75 micrograms. At my 6 month checkup my Tsh had dropped from 4.91 to 0.38. Thanks to the information

question about vitamin levels
I’m Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I was wondering When our vitamin levels are at a good level , does that in turn make our thyroid levels mainly our TSH T3 T4 levels to rise when TSH is under range. It just got me thinking as I’m been prescribed folate for 3 months by the doctors & will

How much reduction in dose to lower TSH to please the specialist???
In July I saw an endocrinologist who found my TSH of 0.025 alarming. He wanted to lower the dose because "Low TSH can cause heart complications." (Eye roll) As many of you pointed out, it's not the TSH that's the problem. Is there sufficient, but not excessive, thyroid hormone to support cellular energy

when does your low TSH stop following you around the NHS?
This morning had a long ‘ difference of opinion’ with a consultant of ‘Geriatric falls and syncope’ about my raised HR ( c.95-115) following various BP/HR problems with 3+ years of Long Covid…she had decided it was likely related to my low TSH suggesting I was over medicated for hypothyroidism. All

Endo blood test codes
Hi after my recent post about rising TSH I asked my nhs endo to do the reccommend thyroid blood tests. I have received the blood test form today but am not sure what some of the codes mean. I know he said he couldn’t do all of them so I wanted to work out which to pay for privately. I recognise

Can't figure out what's wrong with me?
Hi all, I was diagnosed with Graves in Feb 23 (though I'm not actually sure as I tested negative for thyroid peroxidase and TRab, feel like my endo just defaulted to Graves as I didn't have any nodules). I've been on carbimazole since and T3/T4 has been good, TSH has generally always been high and bouncing
