Stopping Amiodorone
Another
echocardiogram
is scheduled for the end of January. We would be grateful to hear from others who have stopped Amiodorone as to whether / how long before they noticed any general improvement.

Between 2 appointments, frustration building!
I’ve met a professor of ICC Adult Consultant Cardiology after an
echocardiogram
where I noted my heart rate was 49-51. Then the ECG took longer as it needed more time to record my heartbeats. Then I get told I’ve got Long QT, not channelopathy.

Heart Health Anxiety
He then adviced to have an
echocardiogram
and I had. The report came normal. After that I went to a psychiatrist and still on the medicine. Sometimes I get too much anxious and worried about my heart. When I do small work like sweeping the room, my heart rate drastically increased.

Palpitations
I’ve had an
echocardiogram
and x2 24 hour heart monitors. I had an episode on Thursday and as I work at the hospital a doctor saw me and I had an ECG and it showed an inverted T wave on lead 2 of my ECG which the doctor said was abnormal.

Newbie, suffering B12 deficiency-sharing my story so far
Another thing to mention is that in India an
Echocardiogram
showed that I had mild pulmonary hypertension. I had an ECG on my return to the UK which showed some nonspecific abnormalities. I’ve been referred to a cardiologist, but my appointment isn’t until April.

AF and breathlessness
I had a
echocardiogram
and ECG first and a monitor fitted back in July for 12 hours. I have been suffering with breathlessness on climbing stairs, shopping or any excertion so was hoping for some answers as to why I am like this.

Update
Hi all Finally had my cardiology appointment with a different consultant and he wants me to have a new
echocardiogram
and a nucleus stress test. I am a little concerned about the stress test is this normal to have this done.

Mitral Valve no bargain Black Friday
Hey everyone, met up with my surgeon yesterday and had an
echocardiogram
for fun while I was there, as you do. Now, something that I had not known was if your mitral valve is a bit dodgy they might not be able to do an ablation.

I'm new: how long til I get seen by Cardiologist??
Dear all, another load of questions....so I was diagnosed Sunday (in A&E). Referral for echo cardio gram and cardiologist. My questions are: 1) how long does it typically take to get those 2 appointments? 2) And I assume echo cardiogram has o be before cardiologist so they know what they are looking

Cardiologist appointment - what to ask?
At that time my EF was 30 to 35, measured by
echocardiogram
. Since then I eventually got an MRI, after making my way to the top of an 11 month waiting list, and had a stress test a couple of weeks ago. My nurse has told me that the MRI measured my EF at 53.

I'm new: Emergency visit to A & E and new diagnosis?
Hi - I'm new. I've just been to A&E and got told I have Atrial fibrillation. Was given anti-coagulant and some beta blockers, but really scared what this means. Will see a cardiologist and apparently have an echo cardiogram. Mainly I am in shock! I have diabetes which is a risk factor, but exercised

They can't find anything, but it's getting worse.
On the other hand the doctors can't find any evidence in: Coronary angiogram(never had high blood pressure or cholesterol) Electrocardiogram
Echocardiogram
(only small mitral valve prolapse) 24H Electrocardiogram(a couple of extrasystoles) According to the doctors i should be in perfect condition.

Recent diagnosis of Atrial Flutter
I am waiting to have a 24 hour heart monitor fitted & an
echocardiogram
. There seems to be lots of information about Atrial Fibrillation but not Atrial Flutter. My main concern is what my lifestyle should be now. Should I be living normally or taking care in what I do. I am 69 years old.

I used to have a strong healthy heart
He did the cardioversion,
echocardiogram
and angiogram. The cardioversion got my heart back to normal for a brief time only. The
echocardiogram
showed enlarged left atrium, and the angiogram showed absolutely no obstructions in my blood vessels.

5 Days Till RALRP
Had to have a last minute transesophageal
echocardiogram
so my cardiologist could provide input to the anesthesiologist about my mitral valve prolapse (exhibiting no symptoms for that). Also a last minute CT scan of chest. All the pre-op blood work checked out OK.
