I am teaching myself to constantly "break" the dyskinetic occurrences by consciously 'dropping' at my knees when it occurs, I find this helps and it stops the episode.

RASAGILINE........PWP have you tried it with good results??
My Neurologist just prescribed, I am currently on 1 1/2 of 25/100 C/L 2x day and I was also on amantadine, but it was causing very bad back pain, so my neuro put me in RASAGILINE. But I am afraid to start it. Any advice would be much appreciated. 🙏🏽

High Prolactin and Parkinson’s disease
High prolactin (or hyperprolactinemia) is a relatively common endocrine problem, affecting roughly 90 women and 30 men out of 100,000. Women in the 25-35 age group have the highest risk to develop hyperprolactinemia. https://www.empoweryourhealth.org/magazine/vol11_issue1/high-prolactin-why-it-happens-and-when-to-treat

HAS ANYONE WHO IS ON RYTARY AS A MONOTHERAPY GOT LUCKY WITH THIS DRUG WITHOUT DYSKINESIA?
Hi Friends, Again,I am asking for your honest opinion.Did you experience use of Rytary or are you currently on this medication? If so,did it work for you without adding other medications?According to the manufacturer's website, this drug is supposed to work for 4 or 5 hours before wearing off. If it worked

Looking for people who have phased out Carbidopa/Levodopa in favor of an all-mucuna program
The switch was motivated by a desire to lessen the
dyskinesia
that seemed to be a prominent effect of the increased reliance on Rytary as the disease progresses.

CARBIDOPA FOR MUCANA ??
++Irony is that she took a lot of simenet earlier and then over the years when we learnt about the disease and the terrible
dyskinesia
she was getting from it - we switched to lesser meds - now she is taking 1/4 tablet of 25/100 sinemet - 9 times a day . So that is 2.14 of 25/100 sinemet .

Creatine, StemEnhance, B1 Thiamine & Amantadine
I received a bonus container of “Pure Creatine” with a mail order, a couple months ago. I decided to go to the internet to see what it was used for and was surprised to see claims that some people feel it has been helpful for PwP. I use an electrolyte drink mix recommended by my primary care doctor.

How is PD connected to Restless Leg Syndrome?
Or is it? I had a mild degree of RLS for several years. It wasn't enough of a problem to warrant medical help. Over the past few months the restless leg has gotten worse. Coincidentally two years I was diagnosed with PD. I was on Sinemet for over a year. Stopped it and switched to amantadine

Finding the balance between Dyskinesia and off time
While i know that there is no magic pill here , i am at my wits end on trying to find that balance . I also wanted to go natural , so it was suggested that a combo of mucana and sinemet (she can only take 1/4 of 25/100 sinemet) might alleviate it . Sometimes it seems ok, sometimes it makes her more dyskinesic

What is your experience with Rytary, and is it possible to mitigate dyskinesia?
In the past 3 or 4 months I started experiencing an intense
dyskinesia
in my legs and feet. It's just exhausting. It has become agonizing to stand, walk -- last night it kept on after I was lying in bed. I moved to Rytary, and now I take 2 23.75-95 mg. capsules, 4 times a day.

My personal withdrawal from the inhibitor EGCG To add the inhibitor quercetin
I have four years used a GCG to complement my intake of natural sourced levodopa. I finally got tired of the slight nausea that occurs and decided to try a different type of inhibitor, quercetin. I have found a change beneficial. It is going very smoothly and I am sleeping better surprisingly I can sleep

Promising drug could treat debilitating movement problems in people with Parkinson's
NLX-112 works by targeting serotonin cells inside the brain which are believed to contribute to the development of
dyskinesia
, by releasing dopamine in an erratic manner. It aims to reduce
dyskinesia
by decreasing the amount of dopamine the cells release.

My experience with DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) Surgery
My gait is much smoother, my
dyskinesia
is gone! My voice is still a little weak and my balance seems to be the same. I am no longer exhausted ant the end of the day. Once my scars heal up, I doubt anyone would even notice that I have PD!
