The role of istradefylline in the Parkinson's disease armamentarium
As a result, an up regulation of A2A receptor occurs and weakens the efficacy of istradefylline as modulator of
dopamine
effects on motor behaviour in Parkinson's disease.

Seeking advice for changing from Temgesic to Gabapentin for treating my refractory RLS.
I have suffered with Restless legs for 52 years now and have been through the hell of being on
dopamine
agonist medication and experiencing augmentation. I have asked my new doctor to do some research into the latest research on RLS.

What does GPT4 have to say about the role of inflammation in RLS?
This was the answer I got: "Chronic inflammation can contribute to the dysfunction of the
dopamine
system by damaging the dopaminergic neurons in the brain. This can lead to a reduction in
dopamine
levels, which can cause the symptoms of RLS.

Phellodendron - MAO-B - Dopamine - Relora
MAO-B is an enzyme which breaks down
dopamine
. Our levels of the 'feel-good' neurotransmitter decline about 13% per decade after age 45. MAO-B is also a target in Parkinson's & Alzheimer's.

My husbands latest poem, called ‘ French Dressing’
With a
dopamine
pill, it may become still. The shampoo is gel it’s so hard to tell I have to confess that I needed much less There’s masses of foam, will it muck up the chrome? At last I am done it’s not been much fun. When did my clothes become sticky and putting them on was more tricky.

Has anyone experienced benefits from coq10
According to the following article Comparing the youngest age people to the oldest, the number of striatal
dopamine
transporters was cut by 46%, or 6.6% per decade of life.3 The rate of loss of
dopamine
transporters is accelerated in Parkinson's patients, and this age-related factor may suggest why

Parkinson's Link to Gut Bacteria Suggests Unexpected, Simple Treatment
Such toxins lead to increased nervous system inflammation and the overproduction of α-synuclein fibrils – molecules known to amass in
dopamine
-producing cells in the substantia nigra part of our brains, eventually leading to the more debilitating motor and dementia symptoms of Parkinson's.

Neupro patch advice
It is also a
dopamine
drug and I am so tired I couldn't even recall good or bad but recall some having problems with it. I went with the Gabepentin for now as I have a Mayo referral. Just want some advise from all of you who know from experience. I am just so frustrated with my current Neuro!

Onset/diagnosis after years
DBS did not have the desired effect; my aunt has electrodes in her brain that stimulate
dopamine
production. After a couple of years of struggling, doctors couldn't make a good diagnosis, left between parkinsonism A typical and msa. At this point, my aunt is hooked up to an apomorphine pump.

Daily consumption of methylene blue reduces attentional deficits and dopamine reduction in a 6-OHDA model of Parkinson’s disease

Titrating off of Ropinirole
Is it caused by DAWS and the lack of
dopamine
or is it a side effect of the Buprenorphine that I'm taking? Is there anything that might relieve the mental issues. Sorry for such a long letter. And thanks so much for all your help. Chris

Edited: PD increases chance of RLS.(yes) Azilect worsens RLS.(wrong) Ambroxol, being an antihistamine I believe worsens RLS.(incorrect)
Editing my edit: (yes, I know, but I’m trying) Not only do
dopamine
agonists make RLS worse but so do meds that increase
dopamine
. Azilect was not mentioned specifically but increasing
dopamine
is a “cause of RLS augmentation.” Levodopa increases augmentation meaning it makes RLS worse.

A case in point is Dr Jonathan Sackner-Bernstein, whose proposition that a
Dopamine
excess within Doperminergic neurons might be toxic and thus responsible for their demise, meets possibly understandable resistance from the long standing neurological orthodoxy.

Seratonin for resting tremor : could tremor that doesn’t respond to just dopamine need more seratonin?
So low seratonin kicks off the loop or cascade that culminates in low
dopamine
. Would increasing seratonin have a disease modifying affect or just aid in more
dopamine
and reduce symptoms?
