Melatonin - Review.
Combined with chemotherapeutic agents (etoposide, doxorubicin, or
docetaxel
), melatonin (1 mM) enhanced the sensitivity of cancer cells to cytokine-induced apoptosis in vitro [92].

ANY SUGGESTIONS?
I have been treated with androgen deprivation therapy, radiation, enzaludamide for 16 months, chemotherapy (
docetaxel
) that did not work and now am on radium 223. After 6 treatments of the radium, I will be put on another chemotherapy called cabazitaxel.

Antibiotics and Chemo
I’m on my second round of
docetaxel
. Is their a conscious regarding the use of antibiotics while undergoing chemo? I have a issue separate from PCa that improves with ampicillin. Welcome you thoughts. Dennis

Second Recurrence now at PSA .5
I am choosing Zytiga because I think it is as effective and has fewer side effects than
Docetaxel
. Seeing my doc on the 19th and would appreciate any thoughts on this plan I have for my next step. Thank you!

Cyberknife is in my future
I was diagnosed Gleason 10 2.5 years ago and I've been through chemo (
Docetaxel
) ADT (Zoladex implants 3 monthly). Since January I've also been on Enzalutmide/Xtandi as PSA was rising with Zoladex alone, so was declared castration resistant.

PSA cut in half by cancer still spreading?
Hes currently undergoing
docetaxel
. They took his PSA and it went from 170 to 100. He just had an MRI on his back because of a tumor on the spine. The doctor said the bone mets are spreading in the back. Is there a reason the PSA drops but yet the cancer is spreading?

Water retention/ lymphedema-like symptoms after chemo
I finished a 6-infusion program of
docetaxel
about 8 weeks ago and was fortunate not to suffer any particularly unpleasant side effects (no nausea but increasing fatigue). However, about 6 weeks' ago my ankles and calves started swelling.

Good Bye docetaxel hello zevtana
After 8 treatments of
docetaxel
not working doc is switching me to zevtana. PSA is fluctuating from 11.2 to 9.4. Is this stuff worse as far as side effects or is it about the same as
docetaxel
. I do realize everyone is different.

PSA
He’s done upfront
Docetaxel
and is on Lupron and Casodex. What does a bump up mean? Is he castrate resistant now???

Treatment developments
If this doesn't happen to go quickly onto
Docetaxel
. It was mentioned that my cancer may not be responding to my drugs well as it could be hormone resistant. I had high hopes for the Aberiterone but this now looks unlikely.

Looking for advice
I am on ADT, Steroids and Chemo (
Docetaxel
). I have had two sessions of chemo so far, with four more to go. My last PSA was 488, so has come down from 10,000 to this. I am so confused by the whole thing.

Third chemo - PSA keeps dropping
Quick update on
Docetaxel
treatment, had third infusion on Friday. The PSA is down to 1.13 (last one was 1.94 taken just before second chemo). At DX PSA 500 just 4 months ago. Side effects are minimal so far, third day is the hardest it seems: a bit of nausea, weakness and flu-like muscle pains.

Best MO / Cancer Centres in Australia?
I was diagnosed in Feb 2018 and am on Firmagon monthly injections and have so far done 5 cycles of
Docetaxel
. One more to go in mid July. PSA has dropped from 168 to 0.8, testosterone is undetectable, liver enzymes are all in normal range. But my thoughts now turn to what should happen after chemo.
