What’s after Lu-177 in Vancouver, BC?
My dad is on a clinical trial and after over a decade with this disease he has failed Zytiga, Xtandi,
docetaxel
, and is now on his 4/6 Lu-177 infusion. He’s castration-resistant and metastatic.

Short-term tactics to keep PSA in check
My
docetaxel
adventure was without side effects but gave an ineffective response. The cabazitaxel/carboplatin combo was effective but brutal in its attack on my immune system.

chemo and bone pain
Hi all I am about to have my fourth chemotherapy session
Docetaxel
and I have had what appears to be the usual side effects especially in the first week but nothing too debilitating. However I have had pain from mets both in my hips and upper legs and my back.

BAT and Pluvicto?
Docetaxel
has failed and I am now waiting to hear if insurance will cover Pluvicto. Any thoughts on starting BAT now in case Pluvicto doesn’t happen? Can you do both at the same time? I don’t think this has been studied. Can’t find anything on it anyway.

My docetaxel experience so far
For those who may be interested, I started
docetaxel
chemo on 20th October and have just had my 3rd infusion on 8th December. I did moderate fasting the day before for the first infusion but haven't bothered since. I wore iced gloves and socks and munched on ice cubes during the chemo sessions.

PSA rising after my 4th chemo
I had a steady decrease in PSA during my first 3 round of
docetaxel
. It was 15 before starting, 3 after the first infusion, 1.5 after the second, 1.01 after the third. Each time it was measure 3 weeks from the infusion (on the day before the next infusion).

To Chemo or Not to Chemo--that is the ?
Should I follow my MO's advice and do
docetaxel
? Since I'm now 78, and have read terrible accounts of chemo, I have held onto the belief that I would do everything to avoid chemo since the treatment appears to be worse than the alternative.

Need advice on clinical trial RO7656594
I have updated our profile, but in a nutshell we've gone through abiraterone, Xtandi,
docetaxel
, Pluvicto , cabazitaxel and carboplatin. My husband's most recent PSA on 4/12 was 79.52. His MO has put a hold on chemo our last 3 appointments due to pancytopenia.

What is Your Opinion on Docetaxel Added to Doublet Therapy for Early Oligorecurrent Metaststic M1a Prostate Cancer?
I need to understand why we cannot add
Docetaxel
to this combo when he recovers from the radiation. Wouldn’t it likely “kill” the sleeping cancer before it wakes up and mutates? Or does the cancer need to be physiologically active ?

Rising PSA with little shown on PSMA PET
The new doc took me off Casodex and put me on
docetaxel
x6, which was a bear but I got through it. My PSA came down to, IIRC, 0.42. I wrapped up chemo in Nov 2018 and that held well enough until the beginning of 2020, when he put me on Nubeqa.

Relugolix/Orgovyx or Enzalutamide/Xtandi?
But, long story short, he has been on ADT vacation for 13 months following succesful treatment of metastatic disease with Triplet Therapy (six rounds of
Docetaxel
, Lupron, and first Abieraterone plus Prednisone and then he switched to Nubeqa).
