2000 micrograms Budesonide per day
Is 2000 micrograms of Budesonide safe to inhale per day? I am on Symbicort 400/12, and for me 3 puffs in the morning 2 at night feels good.

Loperamide after budesonide
Has anyone managed their symptoms of Collagenous Collitis with loperamide/Imodium after coming off budesonide? I’ve finished the three month course of budesonide and now back on 3mg per day after some symptoms returned. Consultant said to stay on budesonide for 8 weeks then if I need to to use loperamide

Microscopic Colitis
I have been recently diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis and have just started taking Budesonide, 2 days ago actually! Started at 9mg and reducing to 6mg then 3mg over 3 months. My question is, is this okay to take with already prescribed Prednisolone for Polymyalgia Rheumatica which started in January

Budesonide (Pulmicort) working well, except for mild chest congestion
Hi I have exercise induced asthma and some other stuff going on which I don't understand. Earlier this year I started having bad sinus related discomfort/pain and my GP put me on Pulmicort turbohaler (200ug, budesonide), on top of my omnair nasal spray (Ciclesonide). The two together work like a charm

So frustrated
I have just spoken to asthma nurse uk as I am quite new to asthma and needed advice on experiencing difficulty breathing, yawning sighing and burping after preventer inhaler. I tried budesonide, beclometasone and even oral steroid and they all make my breathing so difficult that I need to stop. When

International study suggests alternative treatment for mild asthma
A large international study led by a McMaster researcher has found a patient-centric treatment that works for people with mild asthma. People with mild asthma are often prescribed a daily treatment regimen, but up to 80 per cent do not follow the routine, using inhalers only when they have an asthma

Experience of Using Alvesco (Ciclesonide)
Since being diagnosed with late onset asthma (I am 63) in October 2020, I have been prescribed four different medications for my condition. Fostair 100/6, Relvar 92/22, Fobumix Easyhaler 160 4.5 and Combisal 25-125. The reason for the range of products prescribed, is linked to the horrendous side effects

Budesonide and Covid vaccination.
Hi, does anyone know if Budesonide affects the covid vaccination? I can't find a clear answer to this, and would appreciate any help.

Asthma, Inhaled Corticosteroids, and Covid Vaccine Group 6
There has been considerable confusion caused by conflicting information regarding the criteria for inclusion in covid vaccine priority group 6. Whilst groups such as Asthma UK are seeking urgent clarification, for now it seems likely those taking inhaled corticosteroids (as opposed to tablets) could

COPD... Pulmicort/Symbicort for out of breath issues only?
Hi All, I think after trying a few different inhalers, I may try pulmicort or symbicort as this doesn't seem to cause people issues? If possible I'm fine with ventolin as I know that, so may just get the budesonide on its own (pulmicort?) rather then get symbicort as thats got formoteral in, which

Colonoscopy + immunosuppressants not working?
Hi all, got diagnosed with Crohn’s last year via MRI and ultrasound. Been on budesonide for 2 months and azathioprene for 6 months, however just had a colonoscopy yesterday as it was delayed due to covid. The colonoscopy showed that my ileum looked pretty bad despite medication with fissures, ulcers
