I started my Ibrance Wednesday again and had my
Denosumab
injection. I was feeling down but what a difference these simple sounds from the past made to my wellbeing. So pleased he played my old favourites.

Progression - next possible treatment
In the meantime I am just continuing to take letrozole, and I had a
Denosumab
injection last week. The next treatment is Everolimus and Exemestane or consideration for a possible clinical trial - EMERALD which I understand to be Elacestrant v standard treatment.

Liver MRI Scan results
I can also have a
Denosumab
injection in the next day or so. He has in mind everolimus for the next treatment or a possible clinical trial. In the meantime, I have asked for a copy of my latest CT and MRI scan reports.

Necrosis
I’m troubled today as I have suffered with Necrosis of the jaw bone from a tooth extraction and having
Denosumab
injections. The past few days I have felt soreness and discomfort around the tooth socket which is basically just a hole now.

Xgeva and Immunotherapy
Xgeva, aka
denosumab
, is a RANKL antibody. RANKL is involved in the production of osteoclasts. Take away the RANKL, you get fewer osteoclasts, less bone turnover, and less "skeletal events" in metastatic cancer. But RANKL also has other effects including in the immune system.

Denosumab jabs
I’m really getting annoyed at the fact that I can not have my
Denosumab
jab at the moment as the hospital doesn’t want patients attending. I understand that but I just do not know where to go or who to ask about a Community Nurse coming home to give it to me.

Update on Denosumab and Oncologist call
I can go to the hospital late June for my
Denosumab
jab. He said they wanted to keep patients away from the hospital which is fair enough. He is also arranging my CT scan for the same date I have to attend hospital in July to pick up my meds again.

Denosumab
Hi It has been suggested that I miss my four weekly
Denosumab
injection for the next couple of months as shielding from COVID-19. I think I am fairly comfortable with this. Can anyone offer any advice or reassurance please. Jo

All stable - Phew
As you know, I’m missing a couple of
Denosumab
injections. So I celebrated stable yesterday, by baking scones & enjoying a cream tea with my husband & a bottle of champagne 🍾 I’m so grateful. Stay safe lovely ladies. Jo xx

Treatment today
Went for my
Denosumab
jab and to pick up my Ibrance today. To my surprise my
Denosumab
wasn’t on my meds list, not to worry I thought. Then I was told I could have 3 months supply of Ibrance and not to worry about blood tests as my blood has been good.

My appt has been changed to a ‘Phone consultation with Oncologist tomorrow
I am not sure how I will get my
Denosumab
injection & palbociclib. I’m not too concerned about missing the injection. I do however want to avoid any breaks in my palbociclib as I am currently doing so well on it. I’m sure my questions will be answered tomorrow. Take care & stay safe. Jo xx

Today’s ‘phone consultation with Oncologist
I was given the option on whether or not I wanted the
Denosumab
injection. As I had to visit the hospital in person to collect meds from the nurse, I decided to have the injection.
