Deltacortril

I've been on Mascol ever since and have had two spells of Deltacortril ( One lasting a month and then when the bleeding didn't stop, had to have it for 3 months). One thing i've struggled with is Diarrhea and it's getting worse day by day.

I've checked on the eMC ddatabase and find that 1mg gr prednisolone is manufactured by a UK firm, Alliance Pharmaceuticals, under the trade name Deltacortril.

On Deltacortril for past three weeks, also methotrexate. First blood test today, should I defer med until after blood test? Should I be fasting from food?

Her homecare nurse suggested 2 weeks of dexamethazone to pick her up, on previous chemo regimes she used deltacortril from time to time. The dexamethazone doesnt seem to have helped.

He changed med to 20mcg T3 (no T4) plus said my adrenals low so prescribed 5mg deltacortril (cortisone) daily. Felt human again. He then disappeared, so had to go back to relying on GP/NHS. Kept struggling on, trying to hold down a job, had a teenager, my marriage had broken down.

10 days on deltacortril 30 mg reduced to 20 after 1 week now reduced to 10. no significant reduction in pain in shoulders and neck. Blood markers all normal . Thought it was PMR or GCA . Started me on 30 mg Cymbalta on Friday (3 days ago) waiting for neck and head scan.

I have got a flare up at the moment - after a long remission my stocks of Deltacortril Enteric prednisolone tabs are well out of date (2008!) - I cant even get to talk to a doctor before Christmas so do I suffer over Christmas or take the tabs? NB.
