Anyone with heart scar tissue?
I have been in the Afib forum for a year and half. Thanks to what I learned in this wonderful forum, I made some lifestyle adjustmemts that kept me out of Afib. I found out I had some scar tissue after a heart MRI following a sustained ventricular tachycardia cardiac arrest in 2021, I am on beta blocker

Hi allI had my AVR done in May this year, initially I had issues with heart rate jumping around 147. My medications were Bisoprolol 7.5 mg along with standard water tablets and blood thinners.Couple of months after the procedure I had to go A&E for this heart rate procedure but I was either given digoxin

So now I'm a bit scared.
I posted about deciding to do an ablation consult the other day, I have that scheduled for Dec 30th. Well that evening the 23rd I had a new arrhythmia show up. I sent it to Kardia clinician review, and they said it was ventricular tachycardia. The sort of rhythm that when sustained can lead to ventricular

Afib worse than before ablation
I had the most glorious day in 3 years on the 4th day after my first ablation, which the doc said went great. The first three days were tougher because I had a sort throat, fever, then a migraine. But on day 4 I felt incredible…until about 9:30pm when my watch told me I was in afib again. And then

ICD after heart attack
I had a HA in October which resulted in Two cardiac arrests. I went to see the heart failure nurse today and was told I need an ICD but am not sure why. My EF was 34 after last echo. Just looking for advice.

Any ideas/stories about treating PAC’s??
Had ablation in May of this year for lone AFib. Structurally normal heart. Had mild runs of PACs prior to the procedure that would come and go. Now going on 7 months after procedure and they are more bothersome than the AFib was. Last for hours and/or days on end. It’s really wearing me down. I’ve tried

Did you Know? 🤔
Did you know 80% of sudden cardiac deaths could be avoided if a defibrillator was used together with CPR within a few minutes? These two simple steps can save thousands of lives each year in UK. Our #DefibsSaveLives campaign promotes the need to equip communities with these life saving devices: https

A-Flutter Ablation Success
How many have had an a-flutter ablation and it lasted? My doctor made it sound like its one and done for a long time to come but the more I read, the more it makes me think it's just temporary and a way of life to have to keep going in or then possibly have to get another one for Afib very soon after

New shooting pain in left breast
So today I have another strange new symptom - quick shooting pain from my left side across/through my left breast. Its happened 3 times today and each time its been about 6 quick pains then went away, all times I have been relaxed and at rest. I have done an ECG on my Apple Watch, checked my heart

Cox maze: anyone had this procedure?
Hi all just booked for a private consult with cardiothoraticic surgeon in northwest, hopefully for Cox maze procedure for afib. I am back again sorry if I wrote this last night.
almost a month ago I had a cardioversion and it was amazing. I have been dealing with a heart rate in the 150s since the end of April. When I woke up from the CV it was 82. I actually had a smile as I awoke. I did not even know my heart rate was down yet so maybe it was the drugs lol but I felt happier

Metoprolol
I have a CT angiogram tomorrow at 0830 and have been given two tablets of Metoprolol (50mg) to take 12 hrs and then 2hrs before the procedure. This is apparently to slow the heart down (to below 60bpm). I rang the hospital and told them that I already take Sotalol and my heart rate is generally slow

Was there a trigger for your symptoms Mine was likely the death of a loved one 🥹
my symptoms all started after the death of my dad at the end of 2019 - I first started to take them ‘seriously ‘ in feb / March 2020 . Although the diagnostic process was long - as most of you will know - the consultant felt it was likely that this Emotional trauma was my trigger . Just wondered

update / nurse
hi all, well had chat with nurse today and she said my bisoprolol was such a low dose it was not helping me, so going back on my evening one and if that doesn’t help up the flecainide. It’s not what I wanted. All my problems are coming from my left atrium, the rest of my heart is ok so she said. I asked

Post Ablation breathing difficulties
Hi all! So, I’m 11 weeks post my (first ablation) and I seem to be one of the lucky ones with zero Afib symptoms since the procedure. Long may it last! But I’ve been having breathing issues ever since the op and wanted to know if others have been in a similar position? Generally my chest just feels
