Seeking advise about an implantable loop recorder.
I am a 72 year old male in good health. I had persistent AFIB for many years – probably caused by 40 years of alcoholism. Four years ago, I quit drinking after a mild stroke and began exercising religiously and adhering to a healthy diet. A little over a year ago I had an ablation done, and now I take

Fatigue after ICD
My husband (72) had an ICD implanted about 18 months ago. His EF has improved to 45 from the low of 25 . This was discovered during pre op screening for TKR. He had zero symptoms at the time. He had to get clearance from the cardiologist due to an A-fib incident a couple of years prior. Although

New diagnosis of HF and Cardiomyopathy
Hi, I've just turned 40 and was diagnosed back in February with no known cause. My EF was 15 and I am now on the highest doses of meds available including Entresto, Bisoprolol, Dapagliflozin, Furosemide and Spironolactone. I had a review echocardiogram 2 weeks ago and despite maximum dose my EF is still

Allowances/benefits
I have an ICD and would like to know if there are any allowances or benefits I can claim to help me. I work full time but would like to know if there's anything that can be done in order to get some sort of help. Any advice?

Hello fellow AFIBers, I have recently prescribed Flecainide as a replacement anti arrhythmic for Mulaq for afib along with Diltiazem as second blood pressure medications. I am interested to know if any other afiber is taking such combination and his or her side effects. thank you all

I have recently been told I’m in afib 70% of the time and feel exhausted and always tired. Even though I have a recent ICD fitted. My cardiologist has advised I take Amioderone for a while until an Ablation is available, which will take a while as there is a long wait for this. This medication can

Movements after pacemaker / icd insertion...
Morning all, I'm about to have an icd fitted. At present I haven't been able to find good guidance on movements with my left arm that are deemed OK... Or appropriate exercises to ensure my shoulder doesn't freeze up. Can anyone help?

Why I stopped metoprolol
Quick summary: I’ve had one ablation, for A-fib, August 2022. All was well A-flutter began in August 2023. I’ve had five cardioversions since then, lasting from three weeks to three days. I am now in A-flutter awaiting an ablation on February 6. Success rate statistically is around 95%. Fingers crossed

ICD and Outdoor Swimming
Hi all, I’m about to get an ICD fitted in Jul this year. Over the past 10 years I’ve been an active outdoor swimmer sea swimming through the winter without a wet suit and taking part in two English Channel relay swims. I’m keen to know if anyone with an ICD fitted does open water swimming still and

Low BP in afib and covid
After all the years I have finally caught COVID. Had a headache for a couple of days which has gone now. Not much coughing, just feel a bit achy and weak.Unfortunately, it's sent me into an afib episode although my heart rate is staying below 100bpm in fact it's hovering around 70 to 80bpm. I was concerned

12 month follow up
Yesterday I had my 12 month follow up with cardiology.... after my 5th ablation in 2019. Only 4 years late. Though I'll have to live with the AF the rest of my life (I'm about to turn 41) the ablation was a success because when the episodes do hit I can stay out of hospital, they're not as debilitating
