Cytomel?
I've heard that
Cytomel
is an excellent supplement to take with NDT to help with your T3 levels. I'm taking 5 grains of nature throid a day (I have no thyroid at all and have been upping my dose until I feel somewhat normal) I take three in the morning one at lunch and one before bed.

Adding some T-3 (
Cytomel
) to the thyroxine regime. Switching to Thyrolar (brand name mix of T-3/ T-4). Trying animal thyroid (Armour or Nature-throid). Boosting any medication with natural therapies. This present discussion will focus only on option #1. (Stay tuned!

Why am I now having to split T4 doses
Have ask GP for a trial of liquid Eltroxin as the only other option left open to me is T3 only or to self medicate on
Cytomel
and have my GP monitor me (
Cytomel
has different fillers in than our own T3) which could possible be causing the problem.

Recovering?
I started by taking 6mcgs
Cytomel
three times per day at 6,00am, 1.pm and 4pm. I felt like I had been reborn. I have arthritis in my lower spine and I put the severe pains I experienced down to it. Doubled 6am dose a week later.

T4 out - T3 in. Am I recovering?
Cytomel
Arrives from Mexico. I VERY nervously started my Mexican beans (T3) on the tiniest of doses 12.5mcg split into three. My vitals at this time: Temps 95-96f, BP as low as 96/67, HR 50-59. My doses were initially 4.30am, 11.00am and 4.00pm The CM Dose 1 was not early enough or enough!

END OF ROAD WITH NHS
I have a long story where in the past I saw Dr P and ended up taking 2 Grains of Armour Thyroid and 2
Cytomel
, plus adrenal supplements. The snag was that I didn't have official diagnosis. The only way of cutting the controversy was to do without tablets for a month and make myself ill.
