Cryoablation
He told me he can see my problem and explained i was getting 1 and a half pulse instead of two and that i am down on the waiting list for a
cryoablation
. He said it is a rogue pulmonary vein that is causing the problem.

Help regarding meds
I told the cardiologist who prescribed them and he basically said the meds are not working and your down on the list for a
cryoablation
but could be months or more. He said it was up to me if i wanted to continue with the meds, i got the impression he wasnt bothered either way.

My ablation was done yesterday .....as promised, here’s my experience 😊
Hi everyone Well.....I had my
Cryoablation
yesterday ! The procedure took 2 hours......I had local anaesthetic for the groin, and the 2 sedatives, Midazolam and Fentanyl in the cannula, which were supposed to make me a bit woozy but relaxed, so I didn’t fidget !

cryoablation
procedure at Liverpool heart & chest hospital.

Arrhythmia and recorded stress levels
Last year, I had atrial flutter, sorted by a
cryoablation
. This year, I developed paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, which lasted around 3.5 days before disappearing. I'm generally quite OK with walking several miles a day (I'm 70) and don't feel emotionally stressed.

Afib much worse after ablation, anyone else?
Within 48 hours of my recent
cryoablation
I went back into persistent AFib with a rapid heart rate of 158bpm. Prior to the ablation my heart rate was 80bpm. Twelve days later I had a cardioversion that kept me in NSR for just three days.

Finally had my ablation yesterday
Had my
cryoablation
yesterday and all went well. I went into af very quickly into the procedure which meant it only lasted for around 1 hr 15 mins. I have to admit that It wasn't the most pleasant of experiences but not bad enough to put me off going through again if I needed to.

Too soon for cryoablation?
He says the earlier I have
cryoablation
the more successful it will be and its more likely to slow down progression in the longer term if I avoid going into AF at all.

Was PACs, now PVCs
It's been two years since my
cryoablation
. After a few months, things settled down and there was much improvement. I haven't had an AF episode for about seven months now. During those 2 years, I would occasionally have ectopics for a while.

Two mths post cryo ablation
Cryoablation
two months on This might be helpful for someone recovering from this same operation especially if they were previously pretty fit and sporty and looking to get back into that healthy way of life. I found it really difficult to find out much information for the younger (comparatively!)
