I’ve had low BP all my life - lifestyle is normally the only treatment - see here for advice

My BP is now stable at approx 100/70. I believe another Med I take for another condition has helped. General advice is keep well hydrated & take salt - advice is 6g a day & move around as much as possible & avoid lying down, although I have to say that was sometimes the only way I could remain conscious.

thank you for the message, did they ever find out why you have it. What caused your low blood pressure to start. My husbands was having the cryo ablation. He use to be a prime athlete and now cannot even run to the end of the road and really would like them to find out why so they can treat it. were you ever offered any medication to help, he takes the salt at the moment 6 x 600 mg a day.

I’ve had it all my life so didn’t know any different - it was just my norm to be 90/60 at best 60/40 at worst. As teenager I would faint & all drs ever said was hydrate & plenty of salt. Later in life I discovered I have EDS which means my vascular system is just too stretchy so blood pools in my legs feet. Valsalva movements help. I take Pyridostigamine for an autoimmune condition which is also sometimes used for low BP & that has helped more than anything - but not a nice drug to take.
