discouraged :(
they say “it doesn’t make any sense” and think the fact that i’m on medication is ridiculous because i have anxiety. so i guess the fact that my
concerta
is making me feel sad (sometimes even before the “crashes” kick in??)

Concerta sleep issues
We are trying the “liquid
concerta
” now at 10ml per day, but when that wears off around 3:00 he becomes enraged and defiant for the next few hours through bedtime.

ADHD/Impulse Control Help
Have tried a bunch of meds and landed on a combo of Straterra and
Concerta
that work well for his ADHD. However his impulse control has been non existent lately and hes being really hurtful and disrespectful. I am picking him up from daycare and receiving multiple incident reports.

Is it ADHD or Aspergers?
Since then we have had him on various dosages of
Concerta
to assist him with his concentration especially at school. We have found that the medication does help with his concentration and does take the "edge" off of his explosive behaviour.

Struggling with work/life balance
I’ve only tried vyvanse and adderal so I’m wondering if it’s worth giving
concerta
or something of that variation a try. Or if I should just stop trying to figure it all out and accept what is. Any advise or just commiseration is appreciated.

Meds only somewhat effective
Hi All, my son has been on
concerta
ER 18 mg and guanfacine 1mg for a few months now and we’ve seen some improvement in symptoms but he still struggles with emotional regulation.

Stim to non-stim?
I think I'm about done with generic
concerta
18mg and the resulting insomnia. No bueno. I noticed some positive things happening in the last 5 days, but I need to sleep! And yes, I've been taking sleep aids also.

Introduction and looking for feedback
Simply knowing that I have ADHD helps me understand how my brain works, more so than I think the medication helps; though I will say that
Concerta
does help me to focus on my desk work.

Which meds helped emotional dysregulation?
He tried ritalin and
concerta
, but we didn't notice any improvement in any symptoms, and had a few undesirable side effects, so we went off. At the time, he really didn't want any medication, so we didn't continue the search. (We homeschool, so we're mostly able to work around the focus stuff.)

Vyvanse or concerta? Med question
I was hoping to have my Vyvanse increased to 50mg, but instead she switched me to
Concerta
27mg. My instinct is telling me that
Concerta
is not the way to go. Something feels off with it.

Therapist Diagnosed at 35
My first week on
Concerta
was LIFE CHANGING. I’m still working through my grief with a late diagnosis, but it is absolutely informing my work with my clients.

Medication confusion
We've tried Methylphenidate, Metadate, Adderrall, Vyvanse,
Concerta
and the old patch. These were tried at different ages but most caused more anger, not enough sleep, losing weight and loss of almost all short term working memory.

Adderall & Venlafaxine - drug merry-go-round
After 10 months I was switched to
Concerta
to see if addressing the ADHD might reduce the depression and anxiety by giving me a sense of control. Low-dose
Concerta
was fine, but addressed neither to any real extent.

15y ADHD Med Trial & Error
She was then switched to 27mg of
Concerta
. She took 1 dose and did not like how she felt on it. She said she couldn't feel, had no emotion, felt like a zombie, had a stomache ache and head ache. She said it was scary and she will not be taking the med again.

ADHD medication and hair loss
I've already spoken to my titration team and they are supportive, but I'd like to know any personal experience with
Concerta
and its side effects. Thank you
