once medication is helping your child without any side effects how often you make an appointment with your child psychiatrist.
My 16 year is now on 54 mg
Concerta
for almost more then a month and it is helping him to focus in the school without any side effects. How often do you make an appointment with your child Psychiatrist if everything is going well with out any side effects.

Need Help for insurance
I was taken Ritalin and
Concerta
back home. Now I need to see a physiatrist for medications. But first need to get insurance. But most of them do not cover ADHD medications or doctor visit. A private doctor without insurance is too expensive.

Talk to dr about increase dose
Before I was on
concerta
but didn’t work for me so my dr changed it to Vyvanse 30 mg for a month but I told him after it wasn’t as affective so we bumped it up to 40 mg.

Sleeping like a baby...
He has tried modafinil,
concerta
and caffeine pills all under neuro supervision, none do much, just make his tremor worse. He is trying to work part time, but I'm not sure this is do-able. He was diagnosed with sleep apnea and uses a cpap machine at night.

ADHD treatment and ROTC/Army
My daughter is fortunate to be mildly afflicted and is on the lowest dosage of
Concerta
. AJust last year, we even thought of possibly experimenting with taking her off and see if she was functioning fine. But part of me felt why change it before high school ends.

Concerta 36mg fasting advice
im thinking of asking my doctor to give me a lower dosage of
concerta
like 18mg so it’s not as intense as my current 36mg dose. Also, what are the other stimulant medications that you have tried after using
concerta
and what can you tell me about that? Thanks

Getting the most out of medication - Part Two
She agreed that the
Concerta
is probably only lasting for about 6 hours. So here is what we have been doing for a week now. I have been holding off on her 36 Mg
concerta
until the last minute in the a.m. I admit this has made the mornings a little harder than usual.

Dosage increase
Hello all, So we went back to visit the pediatrician and she decided to increase my sons
concerta
dosage to 36mg. Every month they have increased his dosage. Has anyone experienced this. What should I expect. Is this dosage too high. The other 2 doses didn’t make a significant difference.

Headaches from Concerta - 2 weeks in
Our pediatrician gave her an Rx for 18 mg of
Concerta
. Two weeks in, we observe that the
Concerta
is helping her stay on top of her schoolwork, but she is complaining about headaches. Did your child have headaches from medication? Did they eventually go away? How long did it take?

Concerta side effect?
My son just went from
Concerta
18mg to 27mg today and he said he felt fine all day. It wasn't until about 5pm that he started complaining of stomach aches. He takes his pill at 6am every day. I'm wondering if the wearing off is causing stomach issues?

ADHD Meds & Psychosis
Interestingly enough, I have seen a few other studies also indicating that methylphenidates (Ritalin,
Concerta
, etc) are probably a better choice to start medication trials for kids & teens, though reports indicates that the amphetamines are more likely to be prescribed.

Concerta 27mg
He has been on adderall xr and
concerta
Xr I believe 18mg and then bumped up the dose to 27mg. We haven’t really seen much improvement in school. Especially in reading/writing.

One Month on Concerta - High Emotions
Hi all, Our son (7 years old) has been on
Concerta
for one month. We’ve increased the dose twice and he’s currently on 36 mg. He is incredibly emotional while the med kicks in and wears off. The Psych seems to think this is because we haven’t optimized his dose, so we keep increasing.

Is Behavioral therapy enough?
I was given
Concerta
to try out but haven't started yet. I'm waiting for a long weekend to try it. But honestly, I am terrified of giving medication. He is already a very closed off child and it's hard to get answers from him, I fear that if it's effecting him negatively, I won't know.

Day 6 on Concerta 18mg. Requesting experienced feedback.
Has anyone experienced this on
Concerta
and from your experience does it go away? Is there an adjustment period? Also, I don’t expect perfection (he is still just a kid) but how have you measured success on this medication? Thanks!

To medicate or not?
I am struggling with whether or not to take medicine because while it certainly has been helpful to be on
Concerta
, I am fearful of the long-term consequences, if there are any. I have been on the
Concerta
for about 6 weeks now.

Does adderall work ?
Adderall may work slightly faster, but
Concerta
lasts longer: Adderall typically works within 30 minutes and lasts for 5 to 7 hours.
