Hi, I'm new here
I was in permanent a fib for over 3 years before being given a
cardioversion
. Dr told me chance of success was doubtful since I was in a fib so long, but I did get 3 cardios which only gave me a few hours of relief.

From Metoprolol to Multaq...
The last
cardioversion
was done one month ago and I am back in afib. The cardiologist took me off Metoprolol and put me on Multaq 400mg twice a day. I have been taking Multaq for 4 days, still in afib. Should I wait awhile? Should I revert to taking Metoprolol but 100-150mg daily?

I CAN'T KEEP QUIET ANY LONGER!!
I had been in AF for a couple of weeks when I went to him and was actually awaiting a date for a
cardioversion
. Well 10 days after the extraction my heart went back into normal sinus rhythm on it's own and has been that way ever since, that's 10 weeks!

Discharged by EP, but puzzled.
Dear All, 3 weeks ago, I had a DC
cardioversion
(first time). I was fine for about 3 hours - sinus rhythm - and was allowed to go home. However, in the taxi, my heart began jumping all over the place, and I had a bad night.

Amioderone or not?
Or should I try insist on
cardioversion
without it? Or do nothing till September? It's just that I feel I always fall on the wrong side of the statistics. Not even feeling that optimistic about 2nd ablation to be honest.

Hashimotos and Atrial Fibrillation (AF)
I have taken Levo for 5 years, and two years ago had AF briefly which was corrected by
cardioversion
. I take bisoprolol and flecainide to maintain heart rate and rhythm, but I am otherwise healthy and fit. Thank you.

I have been in constant afib and flutter since my ablation on May 18th and I am taking xarelto, flecainide and bisoprolol I also had a
cardioversion
on the 23rd which lasted for 24 hours and then went back into afib. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Auntiejo

Phrenic nerve damage
A
cardioversion
was done and I seem to be back in rhythm and also given Multaq in addition to the Eliquis and Metoprolol. I had googled the shortness of breath after ablation and found the phrenic could be damaged.

Hopes dashed
Well, the
cardioversion
wasn't cancelled, I got to the hospital wth no hold ups, lovely staff, went in on time. Unfortunately the
cardioversion
failed despite having four shocks, so I am still in af, still feeling lousy, and wondering what the next step is.

Question about amiodarone
A
cardioversion
restored sinus rhythm for 15 minutes but my afib returned. I had a cryoablation procedure last week and managed less than two days of sinus rhythm before going back into afib. My EP prescribed amiodarone and possible

Hi, I'm new here
I have had persistent a fib for about seven years. For three years I just given beta blocker and warfarin. I then saw an EP and had several cardioversions with no success so decided to have an ablation which had only a 50% chance of success since I was in a fib so long. I was a fib free for about

Burnt Out Cardiomyopathy.
Flt episode and 9th
Cardioversion
my Cardiologist has informed mt that I have Burnt Out Cardiomyopathy. I have been started on Amiodarone and if that fails I will be put on rate control drugs and if they don't work I will be put on a CRT-D Pacemaker.

Still uncertain
After having my
cardioversion
postponed because of low INR levels I have been eating foods that raise it and it is now 2.4 which means they can go ahead.

Increase in Dose
I've had
cardioversion
twice before and not suitable for ablation due to weight. Has anyone else had a increase in the doses of these meds ? Thanks
