Discharged with a pat on the head.
Cardioversion
required to settle things down. Discharged 20th December 2020. A visit to my local hospital on 24th December 2020, breathing difficulties. CT scan showed blood clot on lungs. The story to skip forward to June 2022, breathing problems had continued since my procedure.

What would you do?
My AF was continuous until the beginning of January when thankfully I had a successful
cardioversion
. I've given up alcohol in the hope this will stop AF coming back although I know I will be extremely lucky if that's the case.

Monster Returns
Perhaps yet another
cardioversion
… if it holds … will change the perspective? Not holding out much hope for NSR. Acceptance may be the best option.

Pacemaker Pending
Pacemaker to be implanted early next month. Have AFIB, mostly controlled the last year + but before then 3 Ablations and a few Cardioversions. Metronics monitor occasionally reports a slower than normally slow pulse. What should I anticipate and be aware of after this procedure? Thanks

ISO others with both AF and AV Block
Lately it's been picking up steam -- I've had 3 episodes in the last 3 months, all of which ended in
cardioversion
. I am now scheduled for an ablation for the AF. I'm looking to compare notes about how to manage both conditions.

Frightening Feeling Today
I had a failed
cardioversion
on Tuesday they shocked me three times. The other
cardioversion
I had was successful they had only shocked me once. I am just wondering if this is some type of an after effect. Thank you.

permanent atrial fibrillation for two years so what now ?
After discussions about an ablation which was over Covid period, I have been in permanent AF for two and a half years and had one
cardioversion
which worked for two days. I have an echocardiogram once a year to check my aortic and mitral valves functions ,there is some regurgitation .

I was shocked (excuse the pun) to hear from my GP that the local hospital says the cut-off age for

WHOOPS
I will share the blame on that with the tech because I had mentioned how wonderful I felt when my
cardioversion
worked the first time, and I had heart rate of 82 and it was like a miracle.

Pacemaker implanted AV node ablated
When my
cardioversion
failed in December, I was really about to give up. I want you to know that if you have a good doctor do not give up, and if your doctor isn’t helping, you try to find another one if you can like I did.

are cardioversions successful
I hadn’t had any episodes of AF since October 2021 until - flying for the first time since covid but had had a 20hr day and it went after sleeping. I’ve massive stress, an inquest for my brothers death postponed till end April - yes next week, hospital negligence. Having to read thousands of reports.

Should I give up taking Amiodarone
I had a
cardioversion
last May and was delighted that it worked first time. I took 100mg Amiodarone daily until November when I slipped into AFib again. I did a 3 per day 200mg amiodarone for one week, 2 per day and then 1 per day and this hasn't sorted it.

I had an ablation and
cardioversion
on 2 November and have done great and been in NSR for the last 7 weeks. Tonight I am out of NSR and wonder if this is normal?

Hi lovely people. I've had AF for 18 years, have had three ablations and numerous cardioversions so AF has been part of my life for a long time. I started taking Bisoprolol last October when I was in hospital with Covid and pneumonia which caused my heart rate to go really high, before that I was on

Permanent AF Again
I was diagnosed back in October 2017 and had several
cardioversion
procedures, an internal
cardioversion
, cryo ablation and then an RF ablation in March 2019. After the last ablation I was symptom free and felt great until May of this year when AF returned.
