Am I really an 'enigma'?
I underwent
cardioversion
which last for 3 days. After this I was told that my AF was permanent. I had catheter ablation in November 2014 but was told I would probably need a 2nd. Medication provided was Sotalol 80mg twice daily and Rivaroxaban (Xarelto) 20mg once daily.

Amiodarone hydrochloride
Hi all, mum had a
cardioversion
in Early Oct. she felt great after. There was no post procedure ECG until last week and her INR tests were moved to every 2 weeks until last week.

Amiodarone
Does anyone know if there is any evidence that a
cardioversion
is more likely to be successful if taking Amiodarone prior to CV? I have been taking 100mg per day for the past 3 months, felt fine at 1st but now I feel it is making me more breathless, and lowering my HB to around 60bpm.

Bleed Risk?
Hi all Yesterday my consultant booked me in for a
cardioversion
and prescribed an anti coagulant to take for the next four weeks. It wasn't until I got home that haemorrhoids popped into my head (wrong end of the body I know) I suffer from piles and they do occasionally bleed.

Flying abroad with AF
My second
cardioversion
put me back in NSR for 21 days but yesterday, 3 days before I go to Spain on a one month holiday, my AF started up again. Any comments on what to do? Last year I flew to Corsica for 2 weeks with AF without any problems so I am tempted to continue with the holiday.

Off the Shelf?....
I have been booked in for another
Cardioversion
as unfortunately I have very bad side effects from taking Flecainide, I have an Angiogram booked for the 14th January so this will not take place if I am still in AF.

Poor sleep. Should I change Bisoprolol time?
Since
cardioversion
, body has menstrually settled into monthly rhythm and I'm not so stressed out). With Bisoprolol I no longer feel heartbeat, which is kind of relaxing too :-)

Nuisance A/F
Seems their preferred option is Elective
cardioversion
.... This is a quick fix and not viable for SSS patient? I am still in A/F and every movement ,or exertion ,sends it upwards. Taking it very easy until tomorrow...... do not want another ambulance call.

Scared about my cardioversion
I am having an electrical
cardioversion
on Wednesday and I am very nervous about the procedure. Also I was wondering if they give you oxygen during the procedure and how many times do they shock you? I was also wondering if people have died from this procedure?

Exercise after Cardioversion
My first
cardioversion
lasted 19 days, I then went to my GP to get ECG confirmation and he decided to send me to A+E (I also had a chest ache during cycling) at Sheffield Northern General where I was able to get them to do a second
cardioversion
that night.

Had enough!
I have decided to stop taking Amiodorone, was put on this by the Arrythmia Clinic in Cardiff and it has made my breathing much worse, coughing and wheezing, I wont now have my
cardioversion
until some time in the New Year and value my health too much to keep taking this dangerous drug.

Not coping
It reverted back to SR overnight but was prepared for
cardioversion
. My meds are bisoprolol 7.5, ramipril 5mg and rivaroxaban 20mg. I feel awful crippling anxiety constantly to the point of it controlling my life. I don't know how to start living again.

Hi and help with AF med!
Have been taking Bisoprolol for mild AF until on
cardioversion
day was found to be back in sinus! Cardiologist suggested moving from Bisoprolol (5mg) to Fecainide and mentioned reducing the dosage gradually but I'm not sure how to do this.
