Driving and A Fib??
Hi does anyone know if you have notified the DVLA previously that they had atrial fibrillation and was cleared to drive ( it had been put back into normal rhythm by a
cardioversion
at the time of the medical) and the atrial fibrillation returns do you need to inform the DVLA again???

Just got my new presciption through but since seeing specialist (it was a few weeks after
cardioversion
and I was having some minor runs) rhythm been pretty good so questioning whether I need the flecainide.

Cardioversion
in March put me back into NSR and I'm still there thankfullly. I am finding however that the beta blocker is making we wheeze and is holding me back from getting back into full exercise.

Back in the hospital after my AF ablation 5 days ago 😫
They are going to do a
cardioversion
if I don’t go back to normal sinus rhythm by tomorrow. They are putting me on different medications now trying to convert me. Sheesh.

Amiodorone and Flu Injection
Husband has been taking Amiodorone pre / post
cardioversion
(5 Oct) and has been offered 'flu injection (first). Bearing in mind that Amiodorone can increase potency of other drugs, has anyone had experience of this injection in previous years whilst taking Amiodorone?

Advice Needed for Heart Rate Monitoring During Exercise
Have had a
cardioversion
done, followed by 2 ablation, the most recent about a month ago. So far, so good. Am on Xarelto as a blood thinner, but no other heart rhythm meds. (Was on Amiodarone about a year ago for about 5 months but am doing everything I can now to avoid it.)

Newbie introduction
Paramedics were called, I was rushed to hopsital and again
cardioversion
electrically. Since then I have been having palpitations. I think they're ectopic but not 100% sure. They are lessening somewhat which is a relief. I bought the kardia ECG for my phone. I received it yesterday.

Irregular Heartbeat
Would having a
cardioversion
if successful get me into a normal sinus rhythm and I no longer have AF or will it come back very soon. Has anyone here had a successful
cardioversion
and how do you feel afterwards? I was diagnosed 3 years ago after a stroke and take Apixaban and Perindopril.

Would ablation help me?
It took a
cardioversion
to get me back in rhythm after subsequent bouts of AF. I had an internal
cardioversion
in march but only stayed in rhythm for 5 weeks.

Update - one year after pace and ablate
Hi everyone. My dad has had permanent AF for about 12 years. Various failed cardioversions and ablations later and unable to control it with medication, he had a CRT-P (biventricular pacemaker) implanted a year ago today. He had the AV node ablated in January 2018. He has severe heart failure and his

Ablation Denied!
All of them resolved spontaneously with 12-18 hours, except the last one which went on for days and required
cardioversion

AV Node Ablation
The AF is obviously the main problem and there are two ways to tackle it,
cardioversion
which may or may not work plus Amiodorone, didnt look up the spelling before beginning this post 'oh dear' think you will all know what I mean.
