Cardioversion recovery
Hi, had my
cardioversion
on Tuesday morning. On the way home from the hospital, I started feeling really sick and this has persisted. It's worse after eating, which I haven't done very much of. Is this usual? I thought I'd be fine pretty much straight away after the
cardioversion
, which did work.

Follow up appointment
Then suggested
cardioversion
to see if a possible short spell of normal heart rythmn confirms light headed symptoms are experienced or not. If they are then to have 1, 2 or even 3 ablations. Now he's not sure about any of it!

AV Node Ablation with pacemaker
One
cardioversion
which kept me in rhythm for 16 months. My doctor told me he would not do another regular ablation or
cardioversion
, I had to have an AV ablation with a pacemaker and be permanently on blood thinner.

Exercise and Cardioversion
I’m due to have a
cardioversion
on 14th October for AF and SVT and wondered how soon afterwards I can resume my twice weekly visits to the gym. I’m keen to keep going but don’t want to push my luck. Thanks

Not sure about cardioversion
I am due to have a
cardioversion
on Wednesday but am not sure about doing it. I was diagnosed with AF last April but am not aware of any symptoms except shortness of breath after exercise. I am taking edoxaban, bisoporol and ramipril.

Rapid AF
I ended up having a
cardioversion
, and went on sotalol and eliquis. From then until now I've had 5 cardioversions, 1 ablation which didn't really work cause 3 months later I had an episode and ended up having another ablation.

cardioversions and af
medicinal and electro, both type of cardioversions do work. but question is how long these keep you in nsr and answer is vague. it may be very short, a few hrs and sometimes around an year. but gradually you will notice frequency of af episodes increasing. still you will have to follow the same course

GP rationing appointments
My letter to the Practice Manager has thus far been ignored, I just wanted to discuss my chest pain after
cardioversion
, it looks like I will have to decide its an emergency to get an appointment. What a state of affairs, I will have to start looking for another surgery.

AF & Cancer Treatment
They've never had a
cardioversion
or ablation. They also take apixaban - low dose due to low weight. They are due to start chemo and radiotherapy treatment for cancer very soon and have read that this can trigger AF and damage the heart.

Flecinaide VS Ablation if I could do it again
New specialist put me on them , about 2 months after last
cardioversion
while I was still in SR, and hadn’t had AF since.

The first AF episode was corrected with a
cardioversion
. The second AF episode was corrected by RF Ablation. I do not currently have AF and my resting heart rate is between the 60s and 70s.

Another ablation or perhaps a pacemaker?
He very gradually got back into his exercise routine although was never able to run more than 15 minutes on the treadmill whereas after last
cardioversion
(Oct 2017) and prior to the onset of permanent AF (June 2018), he was running for 30 minutes (twice a week).

pulse higher than normal 3 weeks post cardioversion
Now 3 weeks post
cardioversion
it has been in the mid 80's virtually everyday. My BP seems fine without drugs. I am only taking Apixaban. I guess because of the AF i am taking alot more notice of the pulse. I read on this site most people have lower pulse after their procedures.

I suffer from persistent afib but have been in nsr since a
cardioversion
a couple of months ago. I take bisoprolol, rivaroxaban and dronedarone. If/when I revert to afib I take extra bisoprolol and book in for another
cardioversion
which takes about four months on the Nhs.

Smart watch for monitoring AF
I have just had
cardioversion
, it has worked. I am now in sinus rhythm. I wonder how long it will last? I have seen a few ads for watches that monitor heart rate and can detect Af, are these any good? What is the best sort?

Weight Loss Reduces Atrial Size, Pericardial Fat in AF Patients
The cardiologist is going to do a
cardioversion
but is fairly sure that the Afib will return. He's not sure if I can have an ablation due to the enlarged LA. I'm going to try to lose 15kg in weight and hope that it reduces the LA to a suitable size for an ablation to happen.

Help with newly diagnosed AF
Am now awaiting an electrocardiophysiologist referral and an echo, with a view to
cardioversion
. Unfortunately due to a hospital error the referral hasn't been made (it's being sorted now...don't get me started...!)
