Back from EP after Cardioversion Failure
Now EP wants to try another
Cardioversion
in conjunction with amiodarone . I am concerned because I already have neuropathy in feet and fingers and I have read this medicine can worsen that. Anyone with experience with it?

Pace and ablate for atrial tachycardia?
The evidence here and elsewhere suggests that pace and ablate comprises a good option for many of those folks in later life who have very symptomatic persistent/permanent AF and for whom
cardioversion
no longer works.

Experience of ablation for persistent AF?
So while I wait they’re trying a holding operation - amiodorone with a second
cardioversion
coming up in 2 weeks time.

afib ablation question
Had
cardioversion
done the beginning of this year and it worked for 5 days then back in afib. Had ablation done 2 weeks and 5 days ago. He just went back into afib again. Has sleep apnea but wears the mask every night.

AF and statins
I had
cardioversion
and was put on blood thinners and BP meds. In the last few months it has returned as PAF. My ECG watch goes red every other day for hours or days. It can come on its own or be triggered by exercise.

Flecainide weird side effects
I’m taking flecainide to prepare for the
cardioversion
. I’m in persistent afib with heart rate rage usually 70-90. I started to take 50mg yesterday for two times a day and I felt straight away hot, pins and needles in my hands and feet.

Second Cardioversion this Sunday - a brief essay on hope
Hope is a funny thing and looking on the bright side sometimes feels like hard work! So despite staying in NSR for only a week first time around, the EP must think I’m in there with a chance. Somehow, perhaps magically, taking amiodorone in the run-up could make a difference. We’ll see. The amiodorone

Alive, with thanks: update on nightmare
He may want me to go in for
cardioversion
, depending on whether I'm still in fib. In the meantime I'm managing with metoprolol twice a day as a baseline, to be increased if needed.

Atrial fibrillation -left in limbo
It’s the third time I’ve had AF in the last 10 years, the previous bouts were treated with
cardioversion
. I ended up in A&E (again) and was put onto beta blockers, they have brought down the heart rate, but the abnormal rhythm continues.

Arrhythmia after open heart surgery - any others with similiar experiences?
I've had electrical
cardioversion
mentioned to me a few times which feels like they're prepping the ground for such a procedure, but I'm worried it won't work and I'll be back and forward to hospital forever trying to get fixed.

Slow Breathing Practice
A week later while hospitalized for rapid afib as I was about to go for a
cardioversion
, I walked to the bathroom doing deep breathing, I went into sustained vtach, vfib and cardiac arrest.

Persistent Afib - next stop Amiodorone
Following a short-lived success with
cardioversion
, my EP has prescribed Amiodarone 200mg daily. So not a massive dose. The waiting list for ablation is long, so this is a stop gap.

Nightmare with(out) flecainide. Cannot get help from NHS.
I am sure I was told previously that
cardioversion
(flecainide as a PIP is chemical
cardioversion
) could not be performed after 48hrs in fib, so I was afraid to take the flecainide, especially because I had taken the metoprolol separately and didn't want to risk OD'ing on metoprolol if I took another

Post cardioversion itching
My husband had another
cardioversion
procedure last Friday and although it was successful he has had all-over itching which started the next day. This didn't happen the first time around.

Return to AFIB after 4 years
Got scheduled for and had another
cardioversion
. They tried twice and was unsuccessful both times. Present EP is reluctant to try a third ablation. Life is miserable right now...tired all the time with little or no energy. Not sure what next step is.
