Awful lot of levodopa for such a short disease duration
Anyone on 6 x
Carbidopa
Levodopa 25/100 mg, less than 2 years after diagnosis? My neuro is increasing my c/l from 1 tablet 3 x a day to 2 tablets 3 x a day. It seems to me like it's an awful lot of levodopa for such a short disease duration.

The Cause Of Vitamin B-6 Toxicity (Updated)
Carbidopa
uses up vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is essential for all manner of biochemical wizardry, so it is not something we want to be short of. Vitamin B6 and
carbidopa
bind together and inactivate each other, so they cannot be taken at the same time.

What is the difference between Carbidopa and Benserazide?
I get major dystonia from Levodopa
Carbidopa

B-1 Dosage Change
I am anxious to move on but I also realize I should be cautious.i am also on 25-100
carbidopa
levodopa 2 tabs at 8an m, 2 tabs at 2pm and 2 tabs at 8pm. As well as 1 tab of .5 mg Pramipexole at each of those times. I will ask my neurologist to take me off of Pramipexole due to the inherent risks.

Levodopa carbidopa starts to work 2:30 hrs after taking it...
Would anyone care to speculate why Levodopa
carbidopa
100/25 - 3 x daily - taken 2 hrs after meals, only kicks in 2:30 hrs after swallowing and works only for about 30 min... I have been taking it since mid Feb. A couple of days after starting, I got this new rigidity that looks like dystonia .

Cincinnati Clinical trials?
I'm currently taking
carbidopa
-levodopa for cervical dystonia. That appears to be effective. I can now see more drivers on the road. So that's good news! UC wouldn't take me in a trial because I had to see THEIR Movement Specialist.

Update
I quickly augmented on
carbidopa
/levodopa but had some success using tramadol and inhaling 😀 but only if I was able to take tramadol and smoke right at the onset. Ten minutes into the episode and it was too late for those medications to have an effect.

current neurologist exam
My neurologist said
carbidopa
levodopa is not useful with tremors. He said its function is to get you moving. I am trying to post today's pull test video. Watch for it.

Sleeping like a baby...
He is on Levodopa/
carbidopa
with endicopone, but that's it. He has tried modafinil, concerta and caffeine pills all under neuro supervision, none do much, just make his tremor worse. He is trying to work part time, but I'm not sure this is do-able.

Depression and drugs
We are experimenting now with
carbidopa
-levodopa, to help with stiffness. This is an experiment because hubby’s DAT scan does not reveal Parkinson’s. We think he has Parkinsonism traits, but not Parkinson’s (CONFUSING!).

Skipping doses?
A week of January, and doses he’s missed along the way of the
Carbidopa
Levodopa. I’m beside myself. So I threw it all under the sink and opened the box he should be on right now. Is this purposeful? Inability? Stubbornness? Rant over.

Improving the Bio-availability of Levodopa
In the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, the DDC enzyme inhibitor
Carbidopa
, is co-administered with Levodopa, and a COMT enzyme inhibitor is also available to improve the bio-availability of Levodopa. What has this to do with Parkinson’s disease?
