My CLL journey
Started my journey with
Calquence
. So far I have made it a habit to connect with a pharmacist at Biologics that dispensed the drug. He has been helpful answering all questions I have had as to supplements I can take.

Are there any targeted drugs that only kill cancerous wbc?
I have very high wbc,and will probably be given
calquence
which I thought only targeted cancerous cells, however, after talking to my consultant apparently this is not true.

Calquence related skin problems
Last week I saw a post about
Calquence
decimating a person’s skin. I can’t find the post now but I had never made the connection to
Calquence
and my prematurely aging skin that has always been healthy. Anyone else?? I do get many bruises and red marks.

Calquence anyone?
Interested to see who is on
Calquence
and if you have found a prescription plan that covers it with Medicare.

2 months on Calquence
Did it take longer than 2 months on
Calquence
for any of you to start seeing your ALC decline and your RBC increase (after that initial spike and fall)?

Ibrutinib to Acalabrutinib
My oncologist is switching me from IB to
Calquence
because I had some irregular heart activity. I have been on IB for 3.6 years and it has been very good for me. My question is have you also switched and how have you found it?

Female Issues ?
I'm 3 months into my
Calquence
and just starting thr 2nd week of the Venetoclax. Tiredness and headaches have been my main symptoms. Taking
calquence
is like taking a Tylenol - uneventful. ( so grateful!) Amidst my lab checks, I've learned they are so much improved!

Starting Calquence
Met onc today who talked about my case with my old onc at MDA, they both recommended it’s time for
Calquence
because of the CLL being SLL now and the flareups not really subsiding like they used to (I would swell about twice a year, do methylprednisolone, and be fine for about 9 months).

CALQUENCE Headaches
That lasted 4 weeks, then we moved on to the oral med of
CALQUENCE
, which is how I found this site. My husband after 1 week experienced severe headaches. Not sleeping, not able to each, nauseous. We had the CT scan done and most recently an MRI of his brain.
