My restless legs have gone worse each time i increase dose i am on 150mg now doctor wants to increase it even more but i am not keen, as well as restless legs getting severe again also burning feet and hands worse, still refuses to let me try Buprenorphine, as i think receptors were damage in the brain by Ropinirole so thats why Pregabalin is not working, still only tiny snatches of sleep, i may as well come off Pregabalin it is not any better for restless legs

Pregabalin does not make RLS worse however your burning feet and hands could be a side effect. If you decide to come off the pregabalin you need to do so very slowly to avoid withdrawal effects. Reduce by 25 mg every 2 weeks. If you do so you will have very few or no withdrawal effects. If you do have any, slow down even further, In very very rare cases you still might have withdrawal effects

Sounds like you need to see a specialist who will prescribe an opioid like Buprenorphine.

Ask your GP to refer you to Dr. Bagery - at the Barberry Clinic.

Not good news as I have just started Pregabalin !

Interesting that you suggest that Ropinirole caused “damage”. How long were you on them? Perhaps that’s why NICE have backed away from them?

I was on Ropinirole for two years, it may have effected me worse because i have also had E.C.T treatment six times, anyway Pregabalin is making me walk like i am drunk, only get sleep between 8 and 11 in morning restless legs quite severe do break through also burning feet and hands big problem

150mg Pregab isn’t that high. I went up to 350mg before finding relief from RLS. That said, insomnia and PLMD problems were worsened so now I’m trialing Gabapentin. I also used to be maxed out on Pramipexole. It was the best, until augmentation set in and I had to do the withdrawal thing.

you took 450 mg?

450 is the maximum dose recommended but you can take up to 600 mg. Since it did work to control your RLS I recommend you increase it by 25 mg. And also see if you changed anything such as a change in diet, medicine or supplements taken, exercise, daily habits, etc.
